Okay, Bye.

I'm thoroughly enjoying myself after the chapters and my alts.

Sub since launch, cancelled today. Listed all my stuff I could not give away in planet chat on the GTN. I might come back and check out preferred status, but I definitely won't be subbing again.

Take care everyone!

It's easier to attack the person instead of the subject. Also known as ad hominem and only a few examples of which would not be fallacious such as questioning the credentials of a self-professed expert.

Nothing but a ripoff of WoW's current garrison/follower system. Not an exact copy but pretty close.

All flashpoints having a solo mode/tactical mode:
Yet another push for players to never properly learn their class and role for real group content.
Hmm, yet another "WoW did it first" post. At what point in the history of these posts were they not direct trolls? I'm sure I'm going to hear all about it, but frankly this post doesn't read any differently that seeing that Blizzard fanboi in General chat shouting "WoW was the first MMO". Hell, I saw a post on the BSN where the poster was ranting all about how BW stole Kthulu based stuff from Blizzard. I'm sure Lovecraft's legacy is shocked to learn that his legacy is based on stuff he "stole" from WoW. Ironically, according to that same individual, the ancient Greeks and Romans stole their pantheon of Gods from Blizzard too.

i have no idea what this "alliance" thing even is...sounds like pointless singleplayer rep grind.

You will be back.

I love it, "Oh god I don't like the changes, they ruined the game." (even though it still is the same game.) "Oh, the focus on story is bad." (even though that was the selling point of the game.) Yet, people who have been here since launch are now saying that they cancelled subs, and putting your foot down because they are not getting his or her way.

I call BS. If you put up with this sorry excuse of a game for this long. You can and will adjust to the changes that streamline things. If you hate games that streamline, than you need to adjust to the times.

Well wow is most popular mmo therefore always going to be example that other mmos will get matched to. But the funny fact is that they did borrowed their idea and not the most successful one and as one would expect it turned out how to put it lightly emm ****

This thread was not all about "not enough pve" or "not enough pvp". It was meant as an assessment of what we got in 4.0. Story, as you say, is the fundament of BW games. And yet, apart from what I saw as a fairly ok narrative, the rest was both disappointing and short. Big areas where you go back and forth, doing almost nothing in between, mindlessly killing trash that is one-shot for the most part, mostly not even grating kills towards some bonus mission, wiping the floor with bosses that are supposed to be the primary antagonists of the story (all so the ensuing cutscenes show how they toss you around like paper). If love good stories just as much as the next guy, but is this something that will keep me playing the game on and on? No, that story is finished. Sure, I could do it on my other toons, but it's not like it's going to be that different (even though they said we'd see reflections of past choice everywhere). Put another way, if story is the primary focus of this mmo (which requires you to be subscribed to get new installments), why is there so little of it?

No, WoD is what cost WoW players. The entire expac was just bad.
