Is there one over arching story that all players are part of? (ex: empire vs republic story line...who wins?)

or is there a story line for each class?

or both?!

any insight as to how it all plays out would be great! thanks!

Im pretty sure the Sith Empire wins
The Symbol for the Sith Empire is identical to the one depicting the Republic symbol in the prequel films.

my question was if each class has its own story

and if that story is part of the larger one going on (empire vs republic)

in other words, does the bounty hunter story line have anything to do with perhaps a sith warriors story in the end?

Each class has its own storyline. There is some synergy between class storylines.

There is also the world or galactic story on each planet. It's different for each faction.

I always win.

- I spent $149.95 on a video game with no release date, and all I got was the key to the executive washroom.

The thing about The Old Republic is that even though we know what happens in the Star Wars movies, there is a huge chronological gap between this game and those movies. In that time, the Sith could rise and fall and rise and fall a dozen times, because it is largely undocumented. That's the point in creating KOTOR and SWTOR in this period in time, they have creative freedom to just make stuff up as they go.

As for your question about the storyline, you're mainly playing your own personal story, and every class has 'Chapters' that you progress through, with climaxes and cliffhangers and all that good stuff. You also get a broad story of the Republic vs Sith Empire, as there are many quests that are shared between all the classes of your faction. The game's story mainly focuses on your character, and his/her involvement in each planet's conflicts.

Play it, you'll get the idea.

SPOILER!!!

Id go with Jedi Knight, as he's the guy who defeats the emperor, not Revan. You know from the vision, Lord Scourge had. Anyway since Scourge is actually is actually your 4-5th companion, id guess JKs story is pretty important.

But im guessing only by a little bit.....Good so far...
This is a Bioware game. Bioware does story very well. If you do not want story, this is not the game for you. - KawaiiAngel
