What is the point of Psychic Suffusion:

Increases the damage and healing of area effect abilities by [5 / 10]%.

Well we have NO AOE heal option until lvl 50 so why is it even in the tree so early?

Two reasons I see it this early with no AOE healing:

1. Force Wave - aoe damage and we get that level 3

2. Its low enough in the Seer tree so a dps specc'ed Sage could get it later if they wanted it.

Because it's within reach of the dps trees thats why it is available that early.
Each tree needs to compliment the other two to some degree to make it interesting.

You can get Salvation at 40 though I wouldn't suggest it. As others have said, it provides some manner of utility to the other trees. Forcequake, telekinetic wave etc benefit from this pretty nicely.

Isn't salvation quite useful in PvE? From the few seer operation and flashpoint videos Ive seen it looks like salvation is one of the most useful heals for non-spike fights as well as AoE boss fights.
Those who forget the pasta are doomed to reheat it.

It's incredibly useful given the right situation in PvP as well.

He's not saying they don't have AOE healing or that it sucks, just that they don't get it until 50... which is wrong, as you can get it as early as lvl 40. But the point he's trying to make is that Psychic Suffusion is useless to have so early in the tree, which isn't really true either.

Doesn't matter where it is in the tree, if it's no use at the time you can first unlock it, don't pick it up, and come back and get it later. /shrug
