Is jedi consular's story that bad?

The Consular story has two problems. One of them is it is kind of boring (to me...and a few others) in general. But I could see how a person playing a Sage might like it.

But the other is the same as the Inquisitor story which is it doesn't really fit Shadows (like mine) and Assassins. Both the stories are about seeking knowledge/power and, quite frankly, this does not fit what a Shadow or an Assassin would seem to be good at. IMO there should have been separate stories for Shadows and Assassins that would have much more in common with the Imperial Agent story i.e. ferreting out a secret conspiracy and taking covert actions to eliminate it.

I agree to a certain extent, but the Consular Act II and III are literally exactly what you describe. With the addition of raising an army large enough to turn the tide of the war.
Below this is my referral link. If you press it you get free stuff and I get free stuff. This makes you, me....and Bioware happy, but don't let that stop you!

Am i the only one who when rolled a consular decided to stick to the whole no love jedi thing and not romance anyone?

Nadia is very much like a proper padawan if you dont romance her she is much better that way compared to kira who while is interesting isn't a very good padawan u dont really train her much if at all.

I thought searching tombs seemed very much up my Assassin's alley. Though I guess when I see my Assassin, I get this Tomb Raider vibe.

Consular, I would have liked more of what you said, but I do think we get that a bit with SoR storyline.

I've embraced my reserved spot in that special hell for my Sage. As I've said before, my Sage is old, venerable ... wizened even. He looks like my forum avatar. So, yes, not only have I enjoyed sullying Nadia's naiveté, I've done so playing a character old enough to be her grandfather. Honestly, I keep expecting Jedi Master Chris Hansen to summon my Sage to Tython and ask him to "take a seat."

I like the Jedi Consular story!

It fits pretty well with "legends lore" about Jedi Shadows. Rooting out the Dark Side and destroying it. The whole "recruit an army" thing feels like it would have fit better as Jedi Knight Chapter 2, but being a "fixer" on planets and ferreting out the Children of the Empire is exactly what a Jedi Shadow would be tasked with.

She's in her 20's, so your Sage is safe. Not that I think the Consular fits the storyline being that old (you sound older than your own Master) Also, I don't think there's any flirt options in game for someone that old

I assure you, in both the game and in life, there are.

I just don't recall to many flirt option with anyone who looks old and wisened. At most I recall my smuggler with the gambler (forgot his name) who betrays you, but he wasn't the old and wisened look you describe.

Not even male's with the sith lady...but again, I don't think she was looking THAT old.

And of course, I just meant the game

I do wish it were a little easier to make a female player character age. I'm fine with the *starting* look being mid-twenties- but if we assume the class story takes place over several years, with the precise figure up to the player's personal taste, then an unspecified small gap before RotHC, and another unspecified gap before SoR, it would be nice to be able to mature the character a bit more in the meantime. Changes of hairstyle and complexion go some way, but, while a male character can create the impression of increased maturity with a beard, and they have more 'craggy' face options to start with, really, greying hair on a still-twenties-something face just looks odd, on a female character, especially when, in all honesty, the closest we get to a more 'weathered' complexion is still, basically, not so much 'older' as 'needs a wash'.

Just a few wrinkles, smile, laughter, or frown lines would be nice. Not just one "Suddenly, 900" one, but a couple, say, middle aged and a choice of two varying 'old' ones.

As for the story 'fitting' Consular- well, I always felt that Act One is very much built for a Sage, though works for a Shadow, while Act Two - you're doing the actual Jedi job- diplomatic with a side-order of 'Satele's Secret Agent'- is built for a Shadow, but works for a Sage. Act Three unites them together by being built for the Barsen'thor.
