Yes, by the end, it feels very much as if you're the Obi-Wan to Nadia's Luke. It's sad that the odds are that won't get much further payoff, but it'd be nice if it did.

Pretty sure there was a blog post describing each class prior to launch, and one of Consular's "inspiration" characters have been Obi-wan, along with Yoda and others like that. Anakin, Luke, young Obi-wan (Phantom Menace), etc were for Knight.

It's not my favorite, but it's certainly better than the SI story.

You know, I find it odd that Chapter 1 seems to be the most criticized, when IMO Chapter 2 is by far the weakest and most boring.

Chapter 1 I at least felt like I was doing some good (my first Consular was Light), but Chapter 2 is just a long and rather dull lead-up to Chapter 3, when the story starts to get good again.

I love the story.
Man this guy is either forgetful or delusional. I went mostly dark side during the first chapter and it made sense. Consular story has some cool parts but it's definitely not the best story.

EDIT:
Though, one of the companions is super boring. Probably the most bland companion out of every companion.
Yeah I enjoyed the story very much. The class itself (seer) is my favorite kind of gameplay.
But the companions... oh my... such bad companions. I'm quite ready to dump them all. Maybe not Qyzen, but oh man... Worst collection of companions bar none.

Chapter 2 contains Belsavis, and I still to this day rate the consular story on Belsavis as my single personal favourite. Sky Hunter says booooooo to your opinion, sah!

Plus, psych ward droid.

For me, Belsavis itself pushes down the value of any class story located there. It's not as bad as Taris, but it's somewhere far from the best.

To go to Belsavis, you must go to Belsavis.

Good point. Out of the six classes I've taken through Belsavis thus far, the Consular was the only one where the second half of the planet, the Esh-Kha made perfect sense. The rest, they were just... There.

And this is the other thing; the Consular story's Class episodes actually fit the planetary storyline.
Even Chapter Two's "go to random contested planet and disrupt the Empire a bit" makes sense in the context of what you're up to, as opposed to, for instance, the Knight, where you feel like telling assorted planetary commanders "I'm here on a mission; I'm not rent-a-Jedi!"

I wonder if the class companion issues are deliberate. A boring romance for the female Consular, and a rather creepy (nothing wrong with Nadia as a Padawan, but, you're her teacher and
Spoiler
, so the special hell for you ) one for the male consular, to underline that, no, romance shouldn't figure significantly in this character's world view.
