So yes, gear matters (welcome to progression based gaming?), but not as much as some people think and you are IGNORANT if you think its easy to get.

I think in a month, this will be a huge non issue anyways as players catch up and the field evens out.
Actually it is easy to get. You can get a full set of 50 gear in less than a day with expertise, blue quality form your PvP vendor on your faction capitol world. And it's actually a 30% to 35% difference. Bolster is 10% below the top (at base) that a class can reach, while PvP gear is stated to only be 10% above it, but that's definitely not true. A bolstered level 10 doesn't even come close to what a bolstered level 30 can get from damage, health or even stats, just from the gear bonus.

The real problem is the normalization system.

Normalization does well to keep everyone pre-50 and fresh 50s at about the same stat level,
by scaling the stats gained from a player's current gear by a percentage based on the character's level. One could argue that this system ensures that every character from 10-49 has the same exact "caps" for their stats, which does well to keep things pretty fair in those level ranges.

50's, however, are capable of exceeding these caps because of the standard tier-based gear system that comes into play at 50, which effectively allows players to obtain gear of a greater level than 50.

Because everyone else is "normalized" to level 50 stats, and because level 50's can currently achieve level 58 stats, there's really no way to keep the balance in the current system on a per-stat basis.

There are two ways of fixing this.

First, as the OP suggested, a new warzone bracket be introduced for endgame players, with no normalization (though I feel that it should be 50-only, not 45-50).

Alternatively, players could be normalized to 58 based on the average level of their gear, instead of their character. Currently, expertise is not accounted for in stat normalization (which is also a part of the whole problem in the first place). In such a system, expertise could not be normalized, or there would be no incentive to climb the gear tiers in the first place (everyone's gear would effectively be identical in warzones).

Personally, I am in favor of the first option, OP's idea. To be perfectly honest, I give the devs the benefit of the doubt, and I believe they already saw this coming, and are probably just waiting for there to be a large enough level 50 population to implement it.

not our problem that some people played 24hr a day and didnt give ANY attention to the rest of the game but just wanted to go end-game and play superior.

some of us (the rest 999900 subscribers) have a life and play for fun and only a couple of hours a day TOPS.

the WZ should have been 10-39 and 40-50 whateverish something like that. and 50s who leveled to death should wait for the rest of the people

game is only a couple of weeks online and they are end-game? then they should move to another mmo.

Ok so from what I've gathered, the people who at still below thirty two Weeks after servers opened are comparing because they're having difficulties fighting level fifties who made it to fifty and started their oboe grind. Really? Get over it. There is a lot more you can do then try to take someone you know you can't kill 1v1. If you know you can't stop their team get to the center and counter Cap the ball. If they are runnng around owning you on civil war cap around then. And void star you midst have to cc and keep them off of the door. Kills and dps don't matter very much in objective pvp. When they release a death match war zone I'll see these a valid complaints.

It's been 8 days since launch. A far cry from weeks. Oh and the reverse is also true, the 50s whining that they won't have victims or get queues as fast since they powered themselves up to 50 so fast. So, maybe want to throw your valid complaints ideal someplace else.

Silverspar: You use contradictory methods of arguing.

You started by using reducto absurdium by stating that all level 50s should be level 10s in WZ.

Then you started the premise that the game should offer incentive not to be high level and now you are suggesting that level 50s shouldnt get any advantages and therefore excluded from the game since they "reap what they sow".

Seriously. Quit projecting your own shortcomings onto others. We dont care.

I will say it again: Remove leveling and xp, remove gear, remove money, make this an instagib game and then everyone can be happy... Oh and remove scores aswell.

Lets face it.. Once you are 50 you will start crying about how OP someones specific armor is. The game hasnt been out for what 8 days? These topics shouldnt exist in the first place.

You want to take your time, and do it slowly. No objections here at all do everythign at your own pace. But stop trying to have your cake and eating it aswell.

I don't understand why people are complaining....

Level 50s are allowed into PvP Warzones just like the rest of us. I for one do NOT want brackets, because I am currently enjoying my 1-2 minute queue times across all levels. When I want to PvP, I can PvP.

If I see a level 50, I am most likely going to die. Why? Because he is level 50... If you sign up for PvP, if you press the queue button, you are stating "I want to PvP, with everyone" 50s included. So please stop coming on here saying "Oh they are ruining my PvP experience!!! They need to be nerfed, we need brackets."

No one is forcing you to PvP. You press the Warzone queue button. Therefore you are stating you want to face 50s in Warzones. Once you are 50 you will experience the same benefits that they do.
