Hi All,

I am running a slightly older system than most of you. I actually only get issues in warzones, the rest of the game plays without fault (even in open areas and the fleet).

GTX265 X2 SLI
8 GB RAM (DDR2)
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU - clock 2.40 GHz

This is the first game my computer has strugled with, and it may just be that it has finaly met its match. The clock speed on the RAM is low as it is only DDR2 but i really don't know how much or problem this should be?

Anyway, i just though i would share this info with you in case it helps at all.

Yeah, makes no sense. What's the point in me upgrading if it won't change anything. There is an issue that causes fps loss, it's related somehow to the number of people in the area.

Interesting fact: upon warzone completion, everything stops. FPS stays on 20-ish. Once everyone exits the area (let's say Huttball) FPS goes back to normal 50+. Why, the hell, 16 people in the same limited area(not even on your screen btw!! You could be staring at the wall and get same low framerate) should cause such a massive drop in FPS

Does the ignoring of us mean that they have no clue where the problem is ?

ATI 6990, which is reputed to be one of the most powerful graphics cards in the world, is having difficulty. I average about 60 FPS on high settings with the card overclocked. AA off.

6-core AMD Phenom X6 4 ghz CPU
AMD Radeon 6990 XFX Black Edition
60gb SSD hard drive
8gb 1600 mhz DDR3 ram
Windows 7 64-bit

I should be getting 200+ FPS in this game, but I stuggle to get 60 in deserted areas. 40 if in a highly populated area.

Aye, but a human cannot see the difference between 60 and 200 fps. It sucks you're not getting the performance you should be getting, but I doubt you're experiencing troubles with performance.

Some more tests done after new patch...
I was able to get more performance from SWTOR by putting in game settings on High, disabling bloom and shadows and after that set everything to performance on ATI CCC, than on default settings in ATI CCC & Low or Medium settings in SWTOR (again with shadows and bloom disabled).
Weird...
Some FPS changes from Grass & Tree sliders also noticed that will be tested in next days.

GPU load on 93% max, GPU memory on 83% max, CPU to 72% max, RAM on 68% max.
(NB Acer Aspire 5740G - Intel i5, 4 GB RAM, ATI 5650 1GB DDR3 RAM & 5400 RPM HDD... Windows 7 x64 - Search, Sidebars/Widgets & Aero disabled).

Still have freezes ... from opening UI element or just moving/using abilities.
