For people in groups, there is, wait for it, GROUP content
Also, why do you need to be in group with your BF constantly? Just break the group and do Revan at the same time. It is not like the player character is doing that much in the fight

You know, "ding a new level" and your inventory is automatically filled with new gear for that level.
Once you hit 60 - "ding", there is a full set of raid level gear and ranked PvP gear - off you go.

"The grind". There is no grind. Go and buy your 186 gear which is absolutely fine to get you into both tactical and HM flashpoints at 60. Now start running said flashpoints.
You're not "grinding" you are simply plkaying the game. In HM you've got the chance of gear drops. Either way, a couple of weeks of running flashpoints and the Elite tokens start to build up and before you know it you're running around in 192 gear. This is all you need unless you are off to the raid's.

I don't want to run dailies - wah wah. Really.
Bioware have already put this game into easy mode - reducing the token cost of gear and started giving away more tokens throughout the run from 1-60.
You only need to buy gear every 8-10 levels, so by the time you reach 60 you're already looking to buy 186 gear off the bat.
But no....it maybe simple to get higher gear but people still want to just get everything NOW. Now working for it, no effort, no "grind", just now.
I did not mean to sound as if I felt entitled to stuff as soon as I hit 60 and get it now, all I meant was I did not understand why suddenly for 190 gear you had to provide additional "payment" in addition to comms, it's just a case of moving goalposts for moving goalposts sake, I mean I played the game throughout I just don't get why Ziost gear should be any different to any other gear that is purchased with comms.

The rewards in this game for play are phenomenal. If you want to see horrible rewards download GW2 and have fun with the 16 thousand currencies and the porous bones.
The best MMO I have played in a long time. Not perfect but pretty close to it.

hehe I have been screaming this point since closed beta

This game has NO GRIND, never has

I have come to the conclussion that some player could be handed a max level character with max gear, 10000000000 cartel coins, and a live ewok to rub their feet while they played

and they would STILL moan and groan about grind because they actually had to double click on something once.

That extra click was just so exhausting and unneeded that they could only assume that SWTOR has a killer grind.

LOL
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

I appreciate the gear progression path as well Bioware.

Thank you.
I still miss 1990s FMV. I miss Wing Commander 3-4. I actually don't want a game. I’d prefer CYOA interactive movies any day. Until then, video games are the closest I can get...

Yeah, that does sound disproportional. I mean, over all my level 56++ alts I have like 2000 basic comms, 200 or 300 elite comms, some ults and only one ziost disc. And that doesn't make sense, given how 190 Ziost gear is basically the basic 60 gear. I think making 190 gear for comms-only would be more rational, especially since when the expansion hits, we'll probably have a vendor with "starter" gear for 60 anyway.

You get a nearly full set of 190 gear from the Ziost quests. All you have to buy if you want a full set are belt, bracers, earpiece and implants (and some other piece if you want to take the mod and enhancement out to put in your main hand), and that's assuming you did not get an earpiece and/or implants as drops. You get I believe 22 tokens from finishing all the quests on "living" Ziost, then a minimum of 9 more for the "dead" Ziost weekly.

If you don't easily earn enough Ziost "tokens" to buy stuff, you're doing something wrong (or you decided to spend 80 on the ice tromper mount).

If you want to see a grind, play Destiny. All gear is available from several vendors, ALL of which are reputation bound. 3 of which you have to first purchase an armor piece that allows all reputation gain to be forwarded to that faction. You have to first get to a rank 2 standing before you can even get gear. Each gear piece available is about 100-130 marks. You get about 3-5 marks for every FP run you do. Which aren't the quick 30-40 minute runs in this. Then you have to get to rank 3 for a weapon. And when Dark Below was released? They required you to purchase weapons/chest pieces and main armor pieces with a commendation in addition to the marks. Commendations only dropped 1 at each rep rank beyond 3 or as a random drop from the FP or a Crucible match.

The grind in this, is not bad. They throw comms at you, by 60 you have 1000 comms, a full set is ~1100 comms. Elite gear is easy as at 60... again they throw comms at you with group finder dailies. If you are a solo player and despise group play, you can easily make it with a 186-190 set that is augmented (which is more of a credit/crafting issue but at 60 you should have no problem with). 192 isn't even essential to clear Ravagers or ToS, should you decide to raid. Ziost gear is given free with the exception of a few pieces. The dailies to get the tokens to unlock these pieces are about 10-15 minutes with zero mob density. If that is annoying and too much work, then by the Force what are you doing...

I think it was more of the case I felt I was having to wasting my comms in a sense as I could not buy the best gear available for my toon. I mean for what its worth I would forgo the companion gear from Yavin and use the 190 stuff in gear I actually like if I did not need to get the Ziost tokens to do it.
