And I think it lasts after death. Last night I travelled Coruscant with my alt, died once due to lazily running from mobs instead of actually fighting them, and I think I still had the vaccine. And you can get 2k from GTN after running one or two Grade 2 missions.

It might be hard on the new players, though, since not everyone knows about the vaccine.

(players with Revan holostatue, on the other hand, can just pop him out and buy it)

I agree its the one event that sucks and makes me want to stop playing SWTOR until its over.

It does not, and that is the whole issue. Since in PVP you die a lot and will invariably become infected and have it interrupt your channels and whatnot, or consume tons and tons of vaccine. In other words, this event KILLS pvp. That is the reason angry people are angry. If devs made it so that the vaccine persists through death the event would be fine.

Ah bless - I knew it was only a matter of time. I'll be honest, I did expect these posts to appear a lot sooner, they took their time this time around.
I don't understand why some people bother playing online games. They spend their entire time moaning about any kind of interaction with other people.
I remember a thread about force quake "Why does my screen shake when others cast this?"

This event is rare, we get it "now and again". Yer we have a vocal minority complaining. For 99% of the time you can avoid other players anyway.
Pop onto the fleet and collect your missions from the terminal. Or, if you are still levelling you are probably only returning to the fleet at the end of chapters to collect rewards.
You're telling me you aren't in a position to access other fleet resources from a stronghold etc?

Some people.
As if this game doesn't lack dynamic content enough, the second something mildy interesting comes along we get a bunch of cry babies bemoaning any attempt to divert from the boring day-to-day.
I do hope each and every moaner from this thread quits. I don't even want your stuff - I've get better already. I will have as I've been off playing the game ratehr than crying my eyes out over a nothing subject.
You know where the cancel subscription button is - for the sanity of people who realise this is a multiplayer game, please use it.

LOL'd.

To the OP: you are like the number 436278 who brings up this issue in the forums. Get a damn vaccine and move along.

P.S.: sometimes i wonder how people like you would react to a problem, and i mean to a real one, like not finding job to pay your bills, or having a relative in the hospital... Those are REAL problems. Learn to see the whole picture, use the EASY solutions you can get, and keep going.

You know, I've been playing MMO games for nearly 15 years, so I should and DO know this. It's just that I'm still surprised. Heh, and people in Real Life laugh when I say I'm an optimist.

Sorry was answering to the op, saw your post now. In your case (which is my case too) i'd recommend getting a relic and using it every time you need, as i do. Can be a bit bothersome but its not that big deal c'mon

  1. Kill the infected players to stop infection from spreading
  2. Use vaccine
  3. ???
  4. Profit

Or
  1. Get the relic
  2. Swap it while waiting for respawn
  3. Use the relic
  4. Swap back to your PvP relic
  5. ???
  6. Profit
