Why waste time doing dailies to get companion gear when you can do higher level dailies to get higher level gear to begin with?

The answer is you won't. We will all run Rishi and Yavin once to get our main companion geared and then offset everyone else with gear from higher level planets.
If you think that is brutal, you should have been around for the transition from Vanilla WoW to its first expansion. PvE and especially PvP gear were absurdly grind-hard in varying ways. Raid gear was even worse. Like incredibly worse.

All of it was obsolete in the first few hours of the expansion, save for stuff .1% of the playerbase had. And their stuff was still junked at cap, which they reached in like a day because they were the sorts of players that had it in the first place.

MMOs do this.

Are you saying you used to feel like you needed raid gear just to do "normal pve questing?"

Back in Vanilla that's how it FELT.
Bioware, please remember our companion spouses when doing new expansions. I want scenes, letters, or something from them, saying they're worried!

I find myself feeling like I have run out of things to do at this point. I am running some weeklies to get Ultimate comms, but without grouping, that is one loooooong trek. At the very end now it feels just a bit too easy/fast, wouldn't mind some kind of grind.

Thanks for this. I totally ignored Ziost. I'll need to play it now. Still I've never really had a problem with the gear as much as the npcs that throw my Guardian around like he is their punk. Makes my character feel so heroic.

Yeah! I just made Legacy Level 8. (and I didn't even get a T-shirt)

The one thing I really did like about Classic WoW was the old dungeon sets. Only had to do a little bit of grinding to get a set. That and Dire Maul. Loved those crazy elves.

So I hit both 60 and nearly the comms cap on Saturday on my Bounty hunter while not finished SOR with him I wanted to get the best gear available for him, only to remember that 190 gear required Ziost "tokens" along with comms but the dailies are just so boring I can't even face running them a second time let alone on a regular basis.

Why the stupid grind just to get 190 gear, its not like its the best gear in the game (well maybe best outside of running ops for 192 or 198 stuff).

Although I did not want to I ended up "purchasing" the 186 gear instead.

I truly believe that some people won't be happy until you are simply given everything you want as you reach each level.
You know, "ding a new level" and your inventory is automatically filled with new gear for that level.
Once you hit 60 - "ding", there is a full set of raid level gear and ranked PvP gear - off you go.

"The grind". There is no grind. Go and buy your 186 gear which is absolutely fine to get you into both tactical and HM flashpoints at 60. Now start running said flashpoints.
You're not "grinding" you are simply plkaying the game. In HM you've got the chance of gear drops. Either way, a couple of weeks of running flashpoints and the Elite tokens start to build up and before you know it you're running around in 192 gear. This is all you need unless you are off to the raid's.

I don't want to run dailies - wah wah. Really.
Bioware have already put this game into easy mode - reducing the token cost of gear and started giving away more tokens throughout the run from 1-60.
You only need to buy gear every 8-10 levels, so by the time you reach 60 you're already looking to buy 186 gear off the bat.
But no....it maybe simple to get higher gear but people still want to just get everything NOW. Now working for it, no effort, no "grind", just now.
