yes, and those people are the raging fanboys on this forum who just see SWG / NGE and freak out without actually understanding what they read.


As for the comparison itself.

It's been a lose comparison asking the devs to tell us what mechanics and systems changes they are making sooner rather than later. What looks good to them or sounds good on paper may be hated by the players (like the NGE). The NGE was sprung on everyone without any warning at all. The comparison is just asking Bioware not to do that.

The forum "royals" go into drama queen mode fairly easliy if someone questions Bioware.

The comparisons aren't actually "doom" posts. Just certain people can't accept that.

I made one of the post mentioning the comparison and have 6 pages and counting of people attacking me for mentioning the NGE and declaring KotFE to be just like it.

Statements about more mobile combat. (this one is actually a direct comparison to the NGE)

Statements about new companions, old companions gone, no companions at the beginning of the expansion. The ability to get rid of companions...etc.

Not to mention there is apparently some sort of instancing or phasing to deal with pre / post invasion worlds.

and somehow all of that means the expac is SWTOR's NGE? I don't think so I think people are just making any and all connections they can in order to give themselves something to ***** about despite how asinine those connections are.

I was refering to that nobody actually knows what will happen, we have not that much info to go on. In time we will ofcourse have that and then the playerbase can make a proper judgement if the content holds.

I played SWG from beta myself until it crashed but enjoy this game so much more, so I prefer not to compare them

SWG was from Sony

SWTOR is from EA / BW.

Accept they are different and just be done with this conversation already. Oh BTW here is more info on the expansion. DONE.
