Also he has a full time job and thought his plans were in chaos when his boss refused to give him 2 days off work over the weekend.
Any neckbeard willing to take days off of work for conquest deserves the win, and energy drink sponsorships.

Right? I'm thinking of transferring a toon over (you know with CC cost being so low), just to try my luck. Looks like I'd probably have to transfer a few to make it actually work however.

Apparently, it is true:

I have never heard of or seen anyone named "Schfink" though. What's his most famous char's name? I wonder who he is.

I really didn't imagine this amount of grief from what was a personal goal. First let me address some of the more negative comments.
1. Nar Shaddaa had no crafting bonus. Mats were saved up in the previous weeks to guarantee at least 2 million in points. All crafting skills were utilized. Having Treek and HK on most characters helped boost the output with there crafting bonus.
2. It was mentioned i just crafted and didn't play the game (I chuckled at this one). 800- 900k worth of points came from doing the heroics on Shad x 7 x 10 chars every day. I even managed to organize and run a couple of pug GF ops.
3. I love everything about the game and i play all parts of it. Pvp, rp, pve.

As mentioned in the first post by my GuildMaster, a friend planted the seed to attempt it solo. I have done most everything (38k achieves) in the game so finding or attempting new challenges is always fun.

This is not a challenge i would ever attempt again on a four planet conquest week . I think i can now do the heroics on Shad blindfolded, i can actually see the corridors when i close my eyes!!

Thanks for the comments. And a big thank you to Loch and John for the verbal support throughout.

Characters used- Sugar'ray, Catastrophie, Mobydick, GeneralAccident, Captainnutcase, Asalt'n'battery, Joe'walker.
Phatarce, Sneezy, ****** (needs a rename, naughty word)

My main characters are Shfink (Consular currently in guild Ice) and Sugar;'ray (Currently sat on top of the prestige rankings on the progenitor)

It's the guilds with the deepest pockets who can buy the most materials and craft the most.

Revamp, so removing crafting from at least 1/4 or a 1/3 of all conquest weeks would make it a lot more fun for the guilds who cannot afford to buy a conquest win.
I've pulled as much as 200k+ for our younger guild with 3 alts primarily through crafting on at least one conquest. We've made top 10 in the last two conquests with the majority of our players being below lvl 50 and had a narrow loss on the one before that. Our end-game totals were typically 575k-750k-ish. The mats were mostly missioned and only a little bit farmed. I only purchase on GTN when somebody's selling a stack so cheap it's roughly equivalent to mission costs for the mats or I think I can get 50%+ profit with near-immediate turnaround relisting it.

Only 20 characters actually made conquest for our first win but it was critical because it got the guild paying attention to conquest. IMO, we would not be competitive right now if not for crafting but now earn more points through other means. For guilds with fewer high-levelers, not having access to crafting would be more of an obstacle than an enabler IMO. But it also allows individuals to make a big difference if they're willing to farm/mission and burn the mats on it. Guilds like Wook I'd imagine are probably picking up a lot more points through non-crafting than you might guess.

Also, constant demand for green mats of most grades is a great financial opportunity for lower-level players and keeps mat prices from going stagnant.

As long as crafting is in conquest it will always be easier to throw up insane numbers than any other activity. A majority of players have a multitude of alts. If those alts have crafting skills then you can exponentially increase your conquest point production. In order for crafting to be a non-factor you would have to completely eliminate any type of reward for crafting.

Almost every "Total War" week I provide a vast majority of my guilds points through crafting and several well stocked banks of mats.

In it's current state conquest is only won by the team who crafts the most - and that is the bottom line.
I don't see Bioware making any changes to that. In the past I suggested maybe there should be an increase in rewards the further up the top 10 you finish - you know, give those competing for 2-10 something to play for. But all that will do is increase the number of people crafting.
