You realize that this very thread disproves your statement right?
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

:c ool:

I can crank out about 150K in conquest in a single day by myself if I put effort into it...so...sorry, not that impressed. Like others have pointed out, all this does is point out that the conquest system isn't working as it (probably) should.

Grats to dude OP knows. Major feat to pull. World first, I'm sure. GREAT WORK

Prote is the only European RP server and as such, quite a lively place. I'd never call it dead.

I wish they tuned Conquest some - it is a great system with many flaws and some untapped potential.

Oh I don't want anyone to think I was being negative to the achievement - actually reading back my own posts, I don't think I have been.
However it did just show the massive flaw in the system. That one may doing crafting can beat any sized guild.
It was summed up by someone earlier:

He was rewarded for not playing the game and being offline - far more than a group of people online and playing content.

He was rewarded for hatching a long term plan, working hard to get there and knowing when to start piling them eggs in one basket. None of this is in any way irrelevant - to the contrary; it represents certain depth SWTOR sorely lacks in many ways.

In my books, planning some long term meta plan for conq schedules sounds million times more relevant and meaningful TOR related activity than, say, grinding Forged Alliances solo FPs with godmode bot healing you.

Whether or not Conq crafting is too OP makes a matter of it's own. This thread does highlight the potential flaw in this. However, this thread celebrates an absolutely ridiculous world first, dude deserves some virtual hi-5s, no matter what anyone thinks of crafting.lol.

I'm not sure that this purported accomplishment suddenly "proves" the nature of Conquest. It may illustrate that Conquest has always been a mini-game within SWTOR. And relatively meaningless to most players. I rarely notice who controls a planet when I arrive and, the few times the name does register, my only thought is about how much time the members of that Guild invested to get ... what?

But the same can be said about Datacrons ... or Seeker Droid ... or the myriad other mini-games within SWTOR. Some players enjoy them ... some don't.

Ignoring some technical caveats, Conquest is--essentially--all about crafting. At least sufficiently so that, while I've heard of guilds winning solely by crafting, I've not heard of a guild winning Conquest without substantial crafting.

As for the player lauded by the OP? In my estimation, the more impressive accomplishment is that he invested the time and credits to level up so many crafting alts.

I'm on the Prog.. I don't recall seeing any guild listed as "The One" listed as top on any of the conquest boards in recent weeks.

You could probably roll a vanity guild on Pot5 at this point and do the same thing on weakly contested planets.
