yes lets reward players for INTENTIONALLY CHEATING

Can I have your stuff?
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

Kind of like if you show up for a scheduled blood alcohol test with alcohol in your blood means you are, by definition, an alcoholic.

2. I purposefully exaggerated in order to draw contrast to the other side of the argument. My entire point was that the punishment should fit the crime. Perma banning should only be dealt out in instances that warrant it.
3. I think there is a witch hunt mentality of some posters here. It's always funny (and this happens often) when there is an announced exploit, or even perceived bug, how many people get caught up in the "I want to know who did it so we can publicly humiliate them and perma ban them so an example can be made of them", which is roughly a witch hunt, or at least a "point and laugh". I don't think BW thinks this way at all. It's just laughable at those who do. Be reasonable folks <--which is all I'm really trying to say.
Well, firstly, I think the punishment fits the crime. I mean, the minimum punishment in this case is a 7 day suspension.
You don't get perma-banned for just trying out the exploit. You get permabanned for abusing it excessively (which is up to Bioware to decide, but I'd imagine that those who made millions off it would fall into that category).
Secondly, I haven't seen ANYONE demanding to know who did it so they can publicly humiliate them. The only thing I've seen so far is people agreeing with the punishment and in some cases thinking the punisment is too light. Nobody's demanding to have a list of the offenders so they can be publicly displayed on the forums.
So no witch-hunt, and the punishment certainly fits the crime.

Translation:

Dear Bioware,

I knowingly did something wrong, but rather then man up and take the consequences for my actions, im going to threaton to quit if the severity of my punishment is more then im willing to deal with.

Yours Truly,

Red Handed Cheater

----------

Good god people, theres a saying for this...

"Dont do the crime if your not willing to do the time."

Also, people have been jumping all over the cheap server transfers, populations will be in flux until everyone finds their spot.

While I don't know which server he plays on, he is an avid PvP player, so I'd assume it's one of the PvP servers... many of which are currently experiencing a mass exidus due to the cheap transfers.

But sure, let's blame it on people being banned and close our eyes to the real circumstances

If only they'd put in a warning each time you log in, so you could have avoided this exploit!

I didn't notice any population drop, but if there was, I'd guess it had more to do with 2 other MMOS releasing big updates?
