How about you give us an engine that actually handles several players in one place?
This game is listed as a MMO so why not make it a proper one.
The community has been asking for this for a long time now. Make it so.

do you any comprehension of how incredibly stupid a suggestion that is?

re-write the ENTIRE GAME for a free addon ?

either build a new custom engine, which takes YEARS and MILLIONS OF DOLLARS by october ? or BUY a new one (cos theyre so cheap to license) and ADAPT it by october ??

SWG has been around longer, I think it should get a new engine first.

Sure, if you can buy me and everyone else who also plays an 2000$+ rig for that cryengine 9000, who has a mid-low end PC , that would be great...

We aren't all swimming in money, are we?

I dont get how such a young game have such an old engine that never worked, especialy when you consider its a game from one of the biggest player in the gaming industry running the star wars franchise.

The short and the sweet of it is that this game runs on a non-release candidate ( this was back in 2007/8) of the Hero Engine which if I recall Bioware actually bought instead of licensed. As a result of this they received no support or updates and the game runs like **** as a result. It's a shame because the Hero Engine became pretty decent in the last several years.

Ok, so to be clear, idt it will happen and agree with those who talk of how difficult it would be to change the engine. Since I have no experience with any of that other than a little common sense (which my wife would say I don't have that either lol).

So just for fun, let's pretend shadow realms was truly just vaporware and a codename. How long were those cats working on it? How far off the realm of possibility is it that the expansion could have been written and put on a different engine and intertwine the 2? If you are playing from the beginning to ziost it would be on what we have now, once you hit the expansion it would switch over. If they repurposed the ops for the new cap, is it potentially possible that those are able to be ported over, as well as the pvp maps?

Again, I don't have the knowledge or experience and talking straight out of the backside, but for general curiosity from those who do have the knowledge, what kind of work are we talking here?
I love reading the forums, especially General and PvP. It's like a cross between The Hills, Jersey Shore and monkeys flinging poo.

What games run on the current versions of Hero Engine?
