For anyone for or against adding something

I have a brilliant idea for all the people who come onto the forums suggesting Bioware add some tool, such as damage meters, LFG tool, Dual Spec, or any other complete game/community changing idea. Bioware should conduct an ingame poll for these type of mechanics. I say "ingame" because this is really the only way to grab everyone seeing as I have talked with many people ingame about certian forums suggestions who all say Bioware should not implement them but do not go onto the forums themselves to defend the game.

The way it should work is, when ever Bioware is thinking about adding something new (or removing something), as soon as you log into the game, as in actually in the game with your character playing, a little window pops up with a poll about what they are thinking about adding and the choices of either wanting it to happen or not wanting it to happen. This window will not be ESCable nor will it be closable. It will also be per account, not per character (this is so people can't create a bunch of characters just to vote). Another stipulation could be that you have to be a certain level to even see the poll (30?).

I am also saying this needs to be in game and not here on the forums or after you log into your account in the launcher because this way EVERYONE will see it and be able to contribute their input. Bioware could then post the results somewhere so we could all go there and see just who is winning (hourly updates maby). This way when they want to put something in, the majority will rule and we will all just have to accept what is happening to happen (or leave). They could also maby re-run the poll with a spot for suggestions is the results are incredibly close.

I really feel like this would be a perfect way to stop all of the arguing here on the forum and allow Bioware the ability to see exactly what it is people want.

EDIT: Okay people, this was mainly a joke because I am sick of seeing all the threads that say Bioware needs to add this and that to the game or the game will die because they think they are the majority.

I hate to say it, but sixthousand has a point. Moreover, BW doesn't really look like they have any interest in players' suggestions.

Basically you're suggesting that BW makes their decisions based on votes.
If BW wants to make their decisions based on user input, I'm sure there are better ways.
There are just many things wrong with the voting system you're suggesting.

I for example don't want to be bothered with this.
Perhaps there should be a vote first if we want to participate :-)

Well, I mainly suggested because apparently everyone on here thinks that their idea is that of the majority of the game's population. I was also only talking about a voting type system for main changes, not every little tiny change to the game. All there ever was in the general discussion was complaint and counter to the complaint, point and counter point if you will. I was suggesting it so the people who don't come to the forum to defend the game from game/community changing ideas could still get their say.

This game is not a democracy. It was made clear in Beta the BW has no real desire to hear our feedback, or so I have been told.

They're going to go in the direction they want to go and polls, forum posts or any other sort of thing like that isn't going to change their mind.

Works for me seeing as there isn't a Bioware game I have hated (so far).

I imagine for certain things, that might be an option, but for many things it will have to be Bioware's decision. What people want, is not necessarily what they need, or should have. There are times when giving people what they want is what will ruin the game. Then people leave because getting what they want destroyed some other aspect of the game. Game companies have to be aware of that. It can't be a democracy.

Another problem that I see with that, is that it that a simple poll may not be enough. It's more than having a certain feature. It is also a matter of how that feature is implemented. There are many ways to implement a LFG tool, but many people only seem to think about the one in WoW, and will answer based on that.

Plus, many people may not have any idea what a certain function will do, or how it will work. They may have no idea what they are voting on, yet they will be forced to vote. That leaves a lot of potential for people just to pick a random answer just so they can log in and play. I can see that being a big problem.

Last BW game I got was ME2. Then I got this and am pretty underwhelmed.

I really hope ME3 isn't disappointing.

I'd rather not have to vote on 40-50 stupid suggestions each time Ilog in before I can begin playing.
Wow was copying Mario Brothers in every respect.
-A world (or many worlds)
-the color red in game
-you have to buy it

Loved both ME games, loved Dragon Age Origins (haven't played 2 yet), loved the original KOTOR game (2 wasn't made by Bioware). Every Bioware game that I have played has not disappointed me in the slightest. They know how to please their target audience (which is what a good game company strives to do). So far, SWTOR has not disappointed me or anyone I have played with. Game is an amazing rendition of a traditional Bioware game but in MMO format. Only thing I fear for the game as a whole is exactly what happened to SWG, WoW, and just about any game that has mimiced WoW in every way; turn the game into simplicity (I'll end it there).
