outlander , veterans... elder scrolls online.

I read 2 days ago, that all mmo websites, voted swtor as the 5th in the line, most healthy and growing mmo in the market. This news will earn it some extra spots. ESO is number 4 but uncertain (not from official stats, but because they change the sub plan into b2p and also consoles release).
Spoiler

you think? we may see swtor into consoles? They cant with this engine, they must migrate it into a newer version lol

Not likely. It's a hotkey based game, so I doubt it.

Wonder what took so long.
I think it's especially funny because we haven't even seen anything official yet.

You have been here still for some reason after saying nothing but negative posts for the last 2 years. I still am puzzled why you are supporting the game. Unless you are just saying it to get under people's skin.

Just stop with the pessimism.

There are always going to be people like that Conundrum. They are called pessimists. Nothing is ever right. Nothing is ever going to be good. News is never happy. It's always a dreary day. They always have it the worst. etc day after day. It's annoying tbh.

This is going to be big news for the game that will come out of nowhere and hit like a truck and surprise us all!

If you want something "deep" & non-"Mary Sue" then you don't want "Star Wars" in the first place. The whole concept, as someone else pointed out, is classic "good vs evil space opera" & you can't get more Mary Sue than that.

In any event, the OP makes one good point: it would be quite well if people would stop with the faux prophecies of either doom-&-gloom or bunnies-&-sunshine.

I remember when ME2 came out, and the fan base was hypercritical of every new character announcement. "They're all too dark! They're all Renegade! ZOMG EDGY LINKIN PARK LOLZ" Then in the runup to ME3, the focus returned largely to the cast of the first game, and everybody was super mad that they weren't getting their ME2 characters back as squaddies. This was because contrary to first impressions, ME2's characters were -great-. Even the mediocre ones had their moments.

On the other hand, I've also seen some characters that sounded really cool on paper, but that I just never really connected with. And SWTOR's cast is kinda hit and miss overall.

So I guess the moral of the story is don't worry about it too much and just take it as it comes. Don't get your hopes up too much, but also don't let yourself get biased against something just because it sounds cliche in summary. Some really great characters have come out of taking an overused trope and subverting it a little.
Person 1: (to person 2) I haven't done any research, but maybe it was this?
Person 2: (to person 3) I heard maybe it was this.
Person 3: (to person 4) I heard the devs said it was this.
Person 4: (to all they meet) Everybody knows the devs promised this, are you stupid?
