Because Count Dooku is a central figure in the game?

So only famous people who die post-release are "worthy" of a memorial. Sounds rather indefensible.

Sure, you can put it that way. Now give us a memorial please.

I'll take a pet raven and some Count Dooku-styled lightsabers, please!

I'm not sad about any of those people dying or Christopher Lee. I didn't know any of them. So no memorial from me.

I've always said I would be sad when we lost Clint Eastwood or Robin Williams.. Yes, SADLY, we lost one.. But as a movie enjoyer.. Both Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee were gods of B movies.. And Alec Guinness was an actor of great talent. So yes.. Lore be f***ed.. A small plaque is worthy for all three in a game based on a player base of those who love this galaxy of imagination.. All three deserve a tip of the hat..

I enjoyed their movies, too. But that's the end of end it. If he were part of my family, that would be a different matter.

You can tip your hat to them all you want, but they do not objectively "deserve" it. They were actors. They facilitated the transfer of money from one group of people (movie goers and such) to another group of people (movie makers). That's hardly a great service to humanity.

And such a "tip" has no place in this game, not that I would ragequit if they added something.

This game, is the only place.. They are part of the -family- of actors who made the movies that draw the majority of the player base.. There is no Alec Guinness' "Great expectations" game.. No Christopher Lee's "Dracula" game.. Nor a Peter Cushing, well.. I'd choose "Shock Waves", but that came after star wars.. Lol

The point is.. The actors in this series of movies are part of the love most of us have for the game. The game would not exist without the books then movies, which carved in stone, the epic story of Star Wars..

I'm sure most players of the game have no idea who Peter Cushing is. And what about Kenny Baker? Do we need a memorial for him, too? What about Malcom Tierny? What about every person who might have died and is somehow connected with the making of any Star Wars movie, cartoon, novel, graphic novel, comic, board game, CCG, toy, etc., etc., etc? Sure, if you are saddened by his death, mourn him, honor him, whatever you want to do. But that's your business. What others do (or don't do) is not.

This is my point of view also. Just because he was on our screen in front of us playing a more or less minor part in a couple of the movies ( far more major aspect of Dooku was voiced by Corey Burton for the animated series' plus all the talented people who drew/animated/created the characters themselves ) should for no reason make him any more deserving of some sort of star wars honour roll than anyone else who has worked on any of the mediums and passed away.

As to the tributes the actors themselves get I am sure many have their hollywood stars if they were deserving of them for what they did and that was act ... I see no need for it in this game.

On a whim I found this ...

Let us remember everyone who helped make this great universe then.

Also Aaron Allston died? Man that sucks his novels were great reading and I only read them in 2013 - didn't see any topics telling me this.

I don't know anything about that (no clue what LotR actor might have died and not familiar with the MMO either) but maybe this could be a recent trend that's starting within videogame fanbases. I know that after Robin Williams passed there was a lot of commotion in Legend of Zelda fanbases to try to get Nintendo to agree to memorialize him in the upcoming Wii U Zelda game (since he named his daughter Zelda and they both did some ads for Nintendo in recent years). Although that's the only other example of this behavior that I know of personally.

It would be nice if there was some subtle nod to this actor's character or that actor's character thrown in somewhere, but at the same time it seems really weird and possibly kind of rude / disrespectful to expect / demand that such things be done.
