Who cares! The point is to honor Christopher Lee in the game.
Speak softly, and carry a big blaster.

I don't get it either. Then why dont we honor Peter Cushing and Alec Guiness while we're at it?

they didn't die while the game was running. is it pointless? sure, but on the other hand something nice and subtle... why not?
SWTOR is not SWG. it was never intended to be at all like SWG. and having a completly differnt design philophesy then SWG will never be like SWG

but I'd rather something in game however minor to honor him, not a cartel market item. (that just seems crass) maybe simply next time the devs show a news report for an event have something in aurebesh scrolling at the bottem saying "white count of Serenno dies, millions mourn"
Those sound like fun too. And the White Duke scroll by would be a subtle one. Followed by some sage of the desert for Guinness.

I'm sure many people have died that played many different roles in Star Wars lore and not necessarily in front of the camera and probably for a lot less money too I bet ... do they get special treatment or memorials?

Heck I bet if we researched the people who worked on the first Kotor games we could probably find a few that passed away.

My point is we immortalise actors and famous people far too much simply because they are famous.
