How many credits per toon are you comfortable with?

If I am not using an alt at the moment, she's got less than 10k. For my slicers/diplomats/mission runners, it's about 100-300k; same for levelling chars, though it goes over a million within hours when it comes to Rishi/Yavin. Secondary traders have their daily quota(usually about a million or less) and then I send those to my main.

My main has most of my money, which can be from 10 to 50 mil(decorations, decorations, man, there's probably over a billion there by now; Rakata Palms alone were over 100mil), since I prefer my credits in one place.

Damn... I feel poor, now. I got nearly 7 mil on my main, and less than 4K on all of my alts except two. One alt has just under 200K, and the other has around 800K. It took me forever to get amass those 7 mil on my main. I'm always buying stuff for my toons and their companions.

For example, I've already spent nearly 2 mil on my newest toon, a Trooper (first time playing that class, and I've been playing since launch. Haven't played Smuggler, yet.). Since he and his companions are all part of a military unit, I've been getting them adaptive armor and dye modules, so that they all match the way a military unit does with uniformity.

I still have to buy a helmet and boots for the last companion that I'll get. The only one not matching is M1-4X, because I can't install a dye module to change his paint. I just got M1-4X, and I've already bought most of the gear for the two companions I haven't gotten yet.

Sigh..... It'll be a long while before I'll see 10 mil on my main...

I derive a lot of my enjoyment from playing the GTN and investing. As such I keep approx 100Mil on my main and around 5-10Mil on my other normally played toons.

The 100M allows for me to make investments and bulk purchases as well as an emergency reserve for periods such as a tight Conquest. The 10M is just so that I can individually spend on my toons for whatever I want.

In general I earn about 3x what I spend so I tend to accumulate several millions worth of spare credits. All my funds mostly go to help funding my guilds activities

Why are you buying multiple copies of armor?

This is what collections is for, unlock the set once, unlimited copies forever. Same thing with crystals.

Yes, it does indeed limit you to the CM stuff, but at some point there was so much of it that there is plenty to choose from.

---

Frankly, it sounds like you're just burning credits to burn credits... you can of course do that, your game to play how you want, but it shouldn't cost you much to make them appear the way you want, since you really only use one or two companions anyway.

I make my own look by mixing and matching parts of different armors from different sets. I tend to do this a lot. Is it still unlockable if I don't have complete sets?

I never knew this.

I don't spend, just because... There is a purpose. I have a plan, but I sure wish it was a cheaper plan... LOL

Uniformity for role play purposes, and for companion story cut-scenes.

Perhaps I'll take a look at this collections thingy. I've never even looked at it before.

Ebon Hawk | Harbinger
SWTOR 4.3: It was good while it lasted. Thanks BW

About 1-2 million, I don't buy lots of stuff, just augments and augmentation kits. I only make money off slicing, I don't PVE besides leveling, just want to have enough money to gear up alts and buy them augments and augmentation kits when they hit 60. I think I only have about a million right now between my chars right now since I've leveled up a few chars during the 12x and I haven't been farming nodes and running many slicing missions.

Collections only works if it's CM gear as far as I know. And depending on the piece you may need the entire set to open the unlock option (which may still be cheaper than buying the same 1 piece continuously) or it may be individually unlockable. An example is the unfettered trench coat which you can unlock with no other pieces. Visas Marr's set requires the entire set to unlock any of the pieces in collections though.
I have opinions and stuff

anything around 300k to half a mil. I have a banking character that keeps bulk of my credits, for whenever I feel like buying extras (and hypercrates).

but for for general playing, 300k+ covers repairs and minor incidentals. then again, I also save a LOT of credits by crafting everything for myself, so the only credit sinks I have or of the unavoidable "pull mod/install augment kit" variety

Around 10k-15k credits. I'm a newer player. With the addition of Yavin stronghold I need to figure out how I'm going to get more credits.
