The heal values and health values are PVE due to it being much harder for me to find good PVP references on healing from before 3.0.

You can see the heal value and you see the health relative to it, both accurate for the time it refers to.

And H2F is a deliberate reference to a developer quote about being able to get away and heal up as part of survivability. Something hilariously removed when all your heals were locked to a CD after 3.0. Not everyone seems to know it...

I didn't say it wasn't a buff but I didn't say I liked it and I said exactly why, TLDR: it's still considerably worse then before 3.0 came around. Bear in mind that before 3.0 with that better healing package it still wasn't the hardest thing in the world to kill a merc.
The only reason you would use pre 3.0 values is to justify calling this patch a nerf to offheals. Well guess what? This isn't pre 3.0 anymore, and your comparison to pre 3.0 values is worthless.

What does the class need to convince players that it's a valid competitor against a Powertech, Assassin, Sage, Guardian?

I believe it's the entire package of heals, escapes and cooldowns so I'll make references to such.

You believe what?

I believe Mercs are fine and the classes you mentioned need nerfing.

I wouldn't disagree but making posts about nerfs tends to look much worse than a thread about buffs.

Because the spammable heal happens to heal for way less perhaps? It's possible to on live AMP yourself for 11k.

Cast it again. It's spammable.

There has been no evidence that a change of direction in PVP FOTM is going to happen, the only communication from developers is "talk to us about your class".

Guess how many people posted about how much they wanted to be crippled in PVP so other classes would perform equally.

As a result, all contributions were along the lines of "need to be better here"

Changes actually had little relevance to things posted but certainly they have little effect on pvp.

I agree with you, but then everytime I said that post 3.0 everyone screamed "SORCS!! SPAMMABLE HEAL!!! WANT!!"

The devs complied.

As I've also said in the past, Merc players need to decide what they want. Or just roll/level/gear your Sorcs.
Below this is my referral link. If you press it you get free stuff and I get free stuff. This makes you, me....and Bioware happy, but don't let that stop you!

And yet no one posted in the relevant feedback demanding nerfs.

Why is this.
