At 6:18 green leader takes a splash into the command deck of the present super star destroyer. There was no scene of him taking fire or any damage. His A-wing screams (as well as him) into barrel rolls right into the command deck.

Was green leader hit and spinning out of control straight into the command deck?

Was this a kamikaze?

Or was this just something manipulated by the force?

Arvel Crynyd(Green leader) was hit by a point defense turret, sending his fighter into a spin. He knew his fighter was critically damaged, but he regained enough control of his fighter to make it crash into the Executor's bridge to bring it down. So it was a controlled crash by him, so it was taking one for the team at the cost of his life.

The above is correct, however, the movie didn't do too good a job in showing that he got hit..
Perhaps only a grazing blow was what hit him when I looked at it.
