If we actually saw those valuable "dev resources" being put to good use, I'd probably agree...but there doesn't seem to be anything they care about these days.

People have been asking for this since perhaps the first week of game launch, if they havent done it yet, it isnt happening.

Also, no.

What happens to your (for argument sake) tank gear on your Powertech when you switch to a Mercenary? Do you expect Bioware to give you a whole new set of gear as well?

What about going Juggernaut to Marauder or vice versa. They don't even have the same armor weight.

There's too many things that can go wrong and if it ever did happen, it wouldn't be good enough and people would still complain about it.

It's actually comical how many times "Because X was mentioned and happened that means Y has to too" comes up on this forum.

I think it hilarious that people actually think that this kind of feature would suddenly increase the amount of people who don't know how to play their class. Newsflash: this game is criminally easy up to level cap. You can faceroll your way right up to level 60 and still have not a clue what you are doing. And even then, I still see people begging for help with their story missions in general, because they are just THAT BAD. Meanwhile, if someone (who likely does PvP and Ops) actually DOES know how to play their class, they are just as capable of learning a new one.

Switching ACs isn't going to give you any more clueless people than normal. The base game does that well enough on its own.

Then they would grind out the gear like any other toon would. And as far as armor weight, who cares? Treat it like CM armor is now or make them replace it...non-issue.

And your last statement is just foolish. By using your flawed logic, nothing would ever get done out of fear someone might complain. Good God...these are PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPERS, not emotionally unstable children.

^^--THIS

Sadly, I wouldnt be surprised if people expected BW to give them a new set of equal armor when they switched

Grind out gear? We're talking about people who refuse to "grind out" a new toon? They WILL expect gear handed to them. If you don't see that, or honestly believe someone will be like, "sweet, got my AC changed, now I just need to grind out a whole new set of gear, no biggie." Come on lol..

And sure, pull mods out and put them in adaptive armor. But that costs people credits.

Lastly.. I didn't say they shouldn't do it because people will complain. I said IF they do do it, it won't be good enough so long as people still have to get new gear, swap mods, etc.

Gear I can grind solo in a night - a new toon is an investment in my time that I simply wouldn't make for this game.
