Jetpack mount is way too big...

Since when does Bioware care about clipping issues?
Capes, robes and weapons are clipping through speeders since release and tons of weapons and armor pieces are clipping through body parts.

And despite it's ridiculous size, this jetpack mount will still have serious clipping issues. Just imagine a commando with his huge assault cannon and one of those stupid backpacks wearing this mount. (Already looks stupid with Wing of the architect )

So, instead of making a jetpack with a reasonable size that looks good on at least 2/3 of the armors sets, they make it so huge that it looks crap on all armor sets?

Well, i hope it's just a work in progress or a preview issue and it will actually look good on live.

No it doesn't.

I could maby agree that it would be like letting anyone wield a blaster pistol.
But then there are examples of jedi wielding one, so there's that.

EDIT: Also, this is how the jet packs looked like in the old republic (apparantly)

I'm not justifying ****. It's not a "ridiculous assumption". Look at the center tank, it's the same size as a normal oxygen tank for scuba diving equipment albeit it has a rounded bottom instead of a flat bottom. It's upper shoulder blades to waist. The jets are right outside the characters hips. I do think the rockets on top are a bit too big, but on a larger body type, they'll look fine.

If you want to say that the scaling is off, fine that's your opinion man. You think it's off....I don't.

What is going to look really bad though, is when a trooper holsters his assault cannon and uses the mount. The clipping will be horrendous.

Yeah but... that's pretty much true for any trooper with an assault cannon unless he is wearing one of those skimpy dancer outfits

That's true

What BW could do to make it look maybe, possibly, a tiny bit better is have the assault cannons either not holster at all or have them center on the back so they could potientially blend with the jet pack. Or release a holographic assault cannon that folds into your pocket or something

Actually, I'd prefer it if they didn't let you holster it at all.

Always carrying it around in your arms. Even in cutscenes

But that would be too much work hehe.

They have scaling issues with Assault Cannons too. They could reduce every one of them by about 20% and they'd still look naturally sized. I like the holographic idea too, or do something like with helmets where they can be hidden when not in use.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

That's what she said.

Another thing I just thought about is that when you have this mount, the assault cannon can hang from the side of it. The animation for holstering wouldn't even have to change. They could just add a hook to the side of the jet pack or some type of sling. Not the prettiest solution, but it may open more avenues for the devs to remedy some of the clipping issues in the future.

Lol, or the trooper's could ride their assault cannons
