I understand wanting to level thru PVP. I've leveled all, but three of my toons through about 90% PVP becusse that is what I enjoy doing. The other three were during the 12x xp thing. Telling them to mix it up may not help if they find those other types of gameplay boring.

OP: you will get some hate for unsubbing but I'm sad to see people leaving. I want as many people as possible queuing up for warzones. It makes it more fun for everyone. So I don't get the people that insult the people who are frustrated to the point of unsubbing. I wish bioware would do a better job of balancing and take a look at issues faster, such as midbies bolster.

It's not end game. I think balance should be around end game, but midbies and lowbies should still be enjoyable. I personally don't have much of an issue with midbie PVP. Just got done with an evening playing a lvl 38 sniper and had a lot of fun on it, but I can see from the forums that a lot of people are having a very hard time in midbies. They need to look at the bolster in midbies.

It doesn't really help anyone to encourage people to quit the game. Hopefully problems will be fixed and those who unsub will give the game a shot again.

Get to 60 is easy to say, but you're right, it's not easy to actually do. I have multiple 60s, many 55s and 50s, so I have not had issues. I have, however, noticed the botched bolster in the middies and how uncompetitive lower levels are.

The issue is two-fold as I see it. The bracket is too wide, and it seems bolster only bolsters to 55, and not 59, while classes get natural bonuses that outlevel 55 as they pass it.

The fix would be to narrow the bracket to 41-59, and to also bolster all players to the same level. Either bolster sub-55s to 55 and then downgrade all over-55s to 55; which would be exceptionally stupid... or make everyone a 59. Or heck, bolster everyone to 60 and make 42k health the standard, instead of the wide gap of hp and stats we have now.

BW, you're product is not worth my money. Off to a game that's actually an enjoyable experience to play.
I did too, I am not paying to be cannon fodder to the ridiculously OP classes! This is the same path Warhammer Online took, and soon SWTOR will be no more...

I think you are making the right decision. Getting stressed out about a game so much that you compare it to being hit in the ********s [male reproductive glands - BW blocking the proper name of body parts is really silly] isn't healthy. Depending on how long you're gone, the game might be here when you get back. Good luck.
Below this is my referral link. If you press it you get free stuff and I get free stuff. This makes you, me....and Bioware happy, but don't let that stop you!

That's the point I reached yesterday. While discussing many of the issues the forums discuss with a guildie, I just sat looking at my computer screen, feeling empty about what I still enjoyed about the game. I then realized I was more aggrivated and stressed about it, than anything. When a game evokes frustrations above all other emotions, it's time to stop playing it.

Especially when there is no light at the end of the tunnel. When there is no sign of anything changing, and no communication addressing the myriad of issues then it's no longer worth tolerating the flaws. All games have flaws, I never expect perfect balance in any pvp game.

I just think every MMO hits a wall where they stop improving and actually degrade progressively as more patches of new material are put in. Ironic, because patches with increased levels, content, and gears should make things better, right?

I think SWTOR hit that wall when they released 3.0, and I suspect a significant drop-off in players now. Atm it's mostly pvpers who will leave. I think catering only to pvers is a mistake though, and it's all connected. By not communicating to the pvp community and showing only disdain concerning pvpers and their concerns SWTOR will lose a large number of players. Will it hurt BW? No. They have bigger things going on, and that's probably why some of this is trivial to them.

I could be wrong, they could address the pvp issues tomorrow in a surprise big patch. But. They won't and we all know that. Just like WAR, eq2, mmos that once had a promising future destroyed themselves by dumbing down their games and/or simply not addressing the concerns of the community before it was too late.

State of pvp at 60 is why I cancelled my sub a few days ago. After a day or so of SoR early access that got boring so I went back to my usual method of enjoying this game. But it just isn't fun.

Also, what's with people like you who just go to threads to mock people? Your dad touch you bad or something?

60 pvp has degraded, if it had not I would still be playing also. It's not fun. I have a 60 sorc healer, and play 60s just fine it's not "hard". in fact the healing is easier than ever before. Part of why I don't like my sage/sorc healers now. I explained that in another thread, not that it matters. If 60 pvp is not fun, and mids pvp is not fun, what is there for a pvper to do? Not much. Time to take a break and hope for big changes. Which are highly unlikely to occur.

As for people mocking others, think it's just some sort of projection on their part, obviously they are not very happy in their own lives and/or with themselves. Somehow, they get some enjoyment from attacking someone who is in their eyes weak but in reality the person is simply showing frustration and venting. Also, the whole anonymity of the online forums/games creates the perfect environment for bullies because as we know 99% of these guys wouldn't confront you face to face. It's just the internet being the internet tbh.

Thank you everyone for the mostly positive feedback to my post.

I want to really like this game, but in it's current state I can't. With all the glaring issues with bolster, class imbalance, and bugs - PVP has become an incredibly frustrating and non rewarding experience. This is probably magnified by the fact that I main Merc/Commando and the class is a friggin joke in pvp right now. Beyond that, the severe lack of communication from BW is just staggering. Go play a game like Marvel Hero's and you can see how interactive and open their development team is with their player base. They post on the forums all the time, even log in and let you play WITH them. It's really awesome how they manage their game and community relationships. Bioware doesn't have a clue.

If you're no longer having fun, it's actually a good idea to take a break. You can still play as Preferred, by the way, if it comes to that.
