The president and his team had all the good intentions. But often amateurish executions, especially come to communications and public relation.

nothing to do with your post but I recently rewatched episode one of The West Wing on Netflix

and jesus that show is just so smartly written and well acted

While I have favorite shows I never miss now a days
I honestly dont think there is a show on TV presently that compares to how well written and acted and casted as The West Wing is.

The Newsroom came close in its final 6 episodes (second season was a complete nightmare as a show) which not a huge surprise as same writer for both.

But The West Wing was just better

Then you need to watch The Wire.

Saw it,
was good
as are most (not all) HBO dramas

But still think West Wing was written better

Perfect drama would be
-Arron Sorkin writing it
-HBO developing it (as per HBO content and not censored network content)
-22 (1 hours each) Episode season like done for cable shows (Love HBO shows but 8-10 episode seasons just doesn't cut it)

The Newsroom was amazing show but Daniels wouldn't resign for more seasons (guess he REALLY wanted to make Dumb and Dumber 2) so it got cancelled

Sorkin is a great writer. But his dialogue is everybody saying the perfect thing at the perfect moment. It gets old after a while. Once you notice it, everyone feels like a character and not a real person, saying real person dialogue with real person conversations. That's what makes TV real for me, and why I think The Wire is the gold standard in television.
