If you are getting scammed at the GTN, please do the following:

1. Exit the game.

2. Learn to read. If you know how to read, then practice. If you don't know how to read, head down to you local library and ask for help.

3. Don't login again until you can read.

Seriously, it shows the commas people. NO ONE can claim to be scammed. They can only claim illiteracy (not likely) or laziness / impatience (much more likely).
Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

It isn't that hard to read the price tag man. I'm not against it because I'm scamming folks on the GTN, but because I'm against the Devs taking the time to develop a tool that assumes most people lack the common sense to read the price.
I'm against wasted dev time that could be used to fix bugs and create new content.
Sorry bro, I usually defend the folks who are being picked on because I hate bullys, but your request is nullified by the ability to lean in a little closer to your monitor and make sure you are buying what you think you are buying at a price you can afford. Using your back and stomach muscles make this problem go away. That and new glasses. I went and got new glasses when I noticed that the price on the GTN was to small for me to read it.
So what you are saying is do something I don't have to do for any other part of the game or any other game for that matter. In fact, if I want to see the minuscule 1 pixel difference between the comma and full stop, I have to put on my glasses and lean forward.
There are several things BW can do about this, like increase the font size of the prices from 12 to 14, use a different font, use different colours for number before and after the decimal point or give us the ability to set the default sorting settings.

I think his point is more along the lines of I'd like to not have to be hyper vigilant on my 15th beer. It's a fair one.

How about this solution. When you do something asininely dumb a jawa spawns and one hit kills you with a don't be stupid sign. It's educational and fun for people watching! Who's with me?

I really do get where your coming from. As a rule I do look very carefully and have avoided this trap time and time again. Unfortunately human beings aren't infallible, and eventually human nature is going to assure that even the most cautious slip up. when assistance can be provided with little effort why not try and do it. What I am suggesting is trivial. Or for matter even make it so that you can set the default on the search parameters so that it doesn't go back to the crazy default ones every time you go to the GTN. Then the comments of those who suggested using it might have some real meaning.

I really don't know how people even do this. I have never been "scammed" on the gtn cus I actually read the prices of items before I buy them. Its. Not. That. Hard.
