I hadn't had much of a problem until I started playing characters in Belsavis. That also seems to be where I'm having trouble with silver mobs.
My name is Milind. I checked it again and can confirm you there is no bug with any companion in the game.

It seems to be on mostly EAWares side mostly, now that I have really looked through all the stuff with my Rig to, and have to confess that the ppl that said that this was EAs problem for the most part seems to be true.

Ever since 3.0 came out, when I was just doing Class quests so I could do storylines on Rishi and Yavin 4. So when i started on mid lvl and higher lvl planets I noticed that when I was using my skills on some NPCs that my skills either wouldn't cause damage or in other instances where NPCs would freeze up in the middle of a fight thinking that the game was about to crash on me since sometimes NPCs would freeze, and sometimes they wouldn't freeze but take no dmg.

Didn't know at the time that this was a 3.0 problem that may be from the Hero Engine. I just thought that it was maybe my Internet which is Time Warner, or just some things that I didn't pay much attention to, but should have.
It seems to me EA isn't doing enough to Fix this problem. It seems ESO would have already have had started some Patching, and they put out more Content than this game, but ESO has a different Engine to, but their isn't perfect either.

I Do Want to Hear More from the Devs in Engineering and Eric Musco, about starting to do patches then a Big Patch to stop these Lag and Freezing problem in fights, where you don't know if ur winning or losing. Right now I don't think there is enough PR with us Subs, and I would like EAWare Engineering and Eric to tell us they already have Patching in the works, and when they might be doing them sooner than later.

This was also my experience. For the most part it didn't seem that bad until I landed on Belsavis.

I'll bet money via paypal, this problem largely goes away once school starts up again. It's also the reason they aren't "fixing" anything, there is nothing to fix, short of opening new servers which they obviously aren't going to do because they know this is a temporary influx.
Wouldn't matter if it is a F2P influx because Fact is, that EAWare is supposed be able to handle larger amounts of ppl, as they could be Potentially New Subs, that would defeat the purpose of the games life.

But i really don't buy that, but if u were right than EA would have made the game that much worse off for ppl who want to Sub.

The problem is, if this is the problem, that the only way to fix it is add new servers to spread people out and relieve the load. There is no way in hell they are going to do that, because they know it's a temporary influx that will fix itself, and any money spent chasing the problem is wasted. The amount of money they would have to spend, vs subs lost. I'm sure they done a cost analysis of this and figured out it isn't worth the bother.

/shrug. It makes a lot of sense on every level.

1. Why has the game suddenly started chugging. (A huge hit from F2P kiddies home for Xmas)
2. Why haven't they done anything to fix it, if it really was a coding issue in a recent patch, it wouldn't take QA that long to figure it out, and could be pretty easily rolled back with a small update.

We'll see when school starts back up, if it goes away, voila.

1.) It started chugging EXACTLY on the day of the 3.0 patch. Belsavis was running fine for me December 1, then bam, problems on December 2.
2.)Perhaps they don't know what s causing it or whatever is causing it is something thats going to take a lot to fix. Remember, there were 2 patches since the big one. Dropping a big patch right at the same time your developers are taking their vacation time is just asking for a PR nightmare. The fact they have not done anything about it yet does not in any way, shape or form explain what it is or isn't.

Furthermore, more than a few people seem to be saying it starts at a certain planet. Namely Belsavis. If that is indeed the case, then how would F2Pers just starting out on the newbie planets be causing problems on near end game planets?

Further yet, this is happening on servers that are not even showing up as 'heavy'. Its 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If this was a load situation, it would change with the time the server is more/less active. It is constant.

This has been happening for a while now. I consider myself a patient person, but my patience is going to run out if this drags on for another month.
