still suffering from ability delay

Belsavis today on EH is even worse.

Ability lag, companion lag. It's practically unplayable.

Starting to get it on fleet now too. FPS is 70+, connection ping is 82ms.

Well, has been unbearable almost. Just now I was playing with 2 friends; they said forget it we're logging off. So bad that I had to agree.

Nar Shaddaa on some low level toons. It was truly pathetic; the skill/ability delays and companions wigging out ( basically running to places 30 meters away, maybe running back and then doing nothing), gap closer launching players to a spot where the enemy is not...and then said enemy ends up in yet another spot. It is in truth, unplayable.

I thought it was just me. I've been getting a lot of lag too.

I still think this is nothing but a ton of F2P influx over the holidays, since all the kids are out of school. The servers are just getting slammed with a lot of people, and they've never been good at handling that since beta.

I'll bet money via paypal, this problem largely goes away once school starts up again. It's also the reason they aren't "fixing" anything, there is nothing to fix, short of opening new servers which they obviously aren't going to do because they know this is a temporary influx.

I haven't seen one post saying "I am not experiencing any lag at all" or "its your system". I think you guys are slipping.

I'm not experiencing much lag. Usually trying again makes the ability activate. Then it seems normal for awhile and pops up again at random intervals.

Is that sufficiently lacking in complaint for you to use the usual epithets when someone doesn't wail and gnash their teeth with the rest of the free-thinkers?

I've been checking the dev tracker. The only thing I've seen so far that claims to have resolved recently is something about network issues on Christmas Eve. Massive disconnects. No mention of ability lag being resolved. There's a posting from 15 Dec 2014 saying they are aware of it and... no ETA.

I haven't experienced any lag at all since the last patch. Prior to that I had occasionally delays and lag, but nothing consistent.

That said, I do not believe it's easily blamed on the user side. The problem is too widespread to be blamed on that. There are still people with underpowered systems or bad internet connections out there, but the recent spate of lag was introduced with the update. Recent patches have made it somewhat better, at least for a lot of people, but problems still exist, and hopefully they will be addressed soon after the holidays.

Makeb was horrendous yesterday. My system is quite powerful. It's playable because I am overlevelled, but it is certainly not-enjoyable.

it is everywhere now. At first, Belsavis was bad and other places seemed not too bad, Now it is everywhere I go. Makeb, as you mentioned, was quite bad for me yesterday. Nar Shaddaa was awful.

My friends have stopped playing as of last night; they had enough. It's simply not fun. I will test the waters but expect no improvement today.

Perhaps as some have said it is an influx of f2p players and will subside after the holidays.
