I will put my 2 cents in for the concealment versus hatred debate. As much as I'd like to disagree with Evolixe same skill the hatred sin should win. I agree that concealment stands a better chance than most other classes versus hatred because we can purge more often than any other class (evasive imperative). The op might get lucky and win, but roots really do kill our survivability. If Its versus deception is say the fight is much closer. Don't know if I could beat Evolixe as I've never fought him before, but I'm sure I could 1v1 most deception sins as concealment.

This experience was in lowbies so it's purely anecdotal. I'm on my lvl 58 hatred sin and get attacked by two lvl 55 concealment ops. Third level 57 concealment op joins them. They must have all sucked pretty bad because I killed them all. Granted I had placed phase was by health pack. So I had two lives. But a class really shouldn't be able to 1v3. Even if the players are mediocre I'd still expect 3 burst specs to be able to kill me. But I'm sure there is some concealment op out there that has 1v3 a trio of sucky hatred sins.

For the merc to get pre 3.0 survivability a re-arrangement of the utilities is enough. To achieve competitiveness in rwz
give back enhanced self heals or 4s stealth as maras or move 12s immunity from assins to mercs (at least that inspired utility will remain).
The ability that allows an energy redoubt for commandos needs to be made part of the base class, just like it is for Tactics Vanguard, that would help quite a bit tbh, to make it a utility was just a slap in the face.

Yeah, i forgot about that... Still, this is not the 100% and does not cleanse dots. So it's not even close to shroud or pre-3.0 evasion (most stupid nerf in 3.0 if you ask me). And we have nothing but evasion, weak probe and roll. Well, we can use Orbital Wet Noodle, but this is not even fun...

Dead meat after 5-6 sec in yolo.

the problem is that we cant really replicate hat we had pre 3.0 unless we ignore one of our new abilities... most think the ability to use blazing.unload on the move is required, yet we have to lessen our defenses to take it in comparison to 2.x.

Many other classes are better than they were, we are at best about the same, in reality likely a bit squishier. Plus the healing changes REALLY hurt... i used to be able to pull a quick double heal when it got tough.. cant even do that anymore

Out of experience, the good Ops on my server now play better.

For the sake of the operative community, could those claiming how concealment goes so good against sins please drop the forum karate and take it in game. Or win a 1v1 tournament on Twitch.

Cos you know this will be the one thread out of the 100 saying the opposite that the devs actually read and they will nerf ops and buff sins. Again.

I agree with the OP. Not saying conc isn't "ok". But when Season 4 starts, it will be skilled healing operatives who carried versus the opposing healer that will be on the leaderboard. Anyone who claims they're gonna carry yolo purely as concealment against all the sins and sorcs should shout out their toon name and server now so we can watch your progress with interest.

Concealment operative is my favorite class. I clearly stated hatred sins are better. There really isnt any question to that. But concealment operatives are better than they were before. I think the gap between concealment and deception is a lot closer than before. Hatred is way ahead though. I agree: concealment isnt going to carry anyone. Hatred on the other hand can.

I'd actually like it if they gave snipers back the powerful orbital strike. Revert it to the way it was pre damage nerf. That would give them a survivability boost from melee. People also wouldnt be able to complain about operatives having it too. With how powerful force storm is it makes no sense to not revert orbital strike nerf. And to the people that say "you can cast it and then not think about it" I call BS. Orbital hit for like 6-7k per tick and had 4 ticks. Yeah thats a lot of damage. Force storm has 6 ticks and can tick for 4k and it is spammable. Also it doesn't even matter to lightning sorcs energy wise. Sorcs say you can walk out of it....you can walk out of orbital as well. That would be the point for snipers. To get melee off of them. I dont even care about getting out of orbital the way it is now. My friend casted it on me once to see how it did (we both have the ranked 55 gear and I was on jugg). The first tick hit for 800 damage. Worthless.

I hope not, there's no reason at all for me as a sorc to be close to my targets.
