Terrible FPS issues and ability lag in Warzones.

For those with ability lag. Try turning off the "ability queue" option in settings. Set it to "0.0".

Lag in warzones is horrendous. Anyone that plays Operative or Scoundrel (yes, we do exist!) can tell you how infuriating it is to be standing behind an enemy ready to Back Blast and your character just won't do it.

It's not just PVP.
There are some locations of known lags and low fps. For example there was a place on Coruscant where after u land from using the taxi the fps goes to 10-20 . It seemed that 9 friendly and 9 enemy npc-s were shooting each other. I went to kill them and the low fps stopped at the moment.
There is something called polygons in 3d models, I think something is wrong with the polygon counts in blaster shots. The moment the npc's stopped firing it was all gone.

Think you might be on to something with the blasters. The weird thing about the lag issues is that my CPU and GPU are never maxed out so it seems it is more of a server issue.

Im running a good computer as well, runs the game fine everywhere between 40 and 60 fps. (5870 / i750 at 3ghz 6gb ram)

Its just in warzones, alderaan in particular that the fps averages about 15-22 fps, which is jarring. This combined with stutters as the battles become more intensive.

This reminds me of another game, which i actually had to quit playing due to this issue. That was warhammer online.

The problem I believe lies with an unoptimized UI (as was the issue with WAR online, where the symptoms were exactly the same) the updating of all the damage, abilities and things that are going on is increased tenfold in warzones as opposed to anywhere else in the game, this is what is actually straining the cpu and causing both random fps drops as low fps in general.

A game where the UI and ability/damage updating is optimized perfectly is WoW btw, however much i dislike to draw the tired comparison.

Edit: The fact that turning down the GFX options does little to nothing is a clear sign that the issue is most likely with the UI updating/processing of abilities/damage that is bottlenecking the cpu.

I LOVE it when you open with a hidden strike knockdown and you cant BS the guy because he's 10meters to the left and the game just hasn't bothered updating it.

Another day with no fix, this is getting really annoying.

40+ fps while questing, 60-70 fps in flashpoints, 15-20 in warzones. It's unplayable... I brought over around a dozen pvp'ers from WoW and they all have the same issue, some of the players have quite high end computers also (2600k/gtx570). Everyone is pretty disappointed, probably gonna have to bail on this game if its not fixed soon.

I'd also like to throw my hat into this ring. Warzones are at currently unplayable for me, especially as a healer.
