I'm not thinking about my own survivability when I'm tanking. The extra damage reduction helps lower damage to everyone not just myself.

Yeah but you said it wasn't balanced, as if those other tanks are not more viable as tanks because of that.

I'm in a bit of a quandary at the moment as I'm not sure which FOTM to go with in 3.0. Was pretty dead set on resurrecting my Shadow, but after reading the JK update, my Guardian may be the way to roll. Decisions, decisions...BW can make it so hard sometimes.

I would joke along side you but I run a Carnage Mara, and it honestly feels like we keep getting shafted. They continuously ignore that "cannon" part of being a glass cannon, and have turned us into 1nm think glass orb covered in rice paper, and told us to destroy a 3' thick tungsten wall.

PLEASE DON'T MAKE RETALIATION A FULL GCD ABILITY FOR TANKS

Jugg tanking is so fun and fast paced because of the quick snappy retaliation and weaving it into abilties
This will ruin the feel of the tank tree ......... make it so that an Immortal tree passive talent brings Retaliation off the GCD again. Please listen to people who play the class

You guys are royally fu**ing the Juggs & Guards up the rear end. Why are you nerfing Soresu form so much? Why are you changing Riposte\Retaliation as a GCD?? This is terrible news.

Current Soresu: 6% DR, +60% AR, +100% Threat, +15% Shield Chance. While active, all Strike abilities generate 1 less focus.

3.0 Soresu: +10% Acc, -10% Damage, + melee & ranged defense 3%, + Threat Force Sweep and Cyclone Slash by 30%.

This is absolutely pathetic. I cannot even fathom it. I hope this does not come to pass.

Eh? Soresu will still keep the 15% shield and 100% threat. They can't remove either without breaking the spec completely. And I doubt they would touch the armor rating.

Blaahh I hope so. It would be nice if these blogs would clarify more. So these changes are simply the additions/subtractions to the mechanics already in place? Sigh, it is the same thing with the PT blog. Poorly constructed text blogs.

Shadows/Assassins/Powertechs/Vanguards didn't lose 15% shield change and 100% threat. What makes you think Juggernauts/Guardians will lose those?

Both are important to tank properly in this game. In fact losing 100% threat generation would break tanking in groups.

Btw, started new Guardian just before I read it yesterday.
