My game seems to have problems whenever I use Fast-Travel, complete mission objectives, or whenever I open the game menus. It'll run fine for a few minutes at best and then the frame-rate will drop to the point of basically freezing. I was actually running the game fine (except for getting the Taris bug) ever since Early Access but it's basically unplayable for me.

This. Almost exactly.

GTX 580
i7 550
8 GM RAM

This is a NEW issue for me. Been playing perfectly since Early Access time. Yesterday evening, I get HUGE frame rate drops - literally from 90 FPS to 1, in certain areas. Happens on fast travel, happens when going from indoor to outdoor, happens in COMBAT, happens when I open menus (esp the MAP - takes a few seconds to update with waypoints, etc). I have no idea what happened, but it makes the game unplayable for me.

I have messed with the AA stuff, the shadows, the trees, the grass - nothing.

What happened??
<-----'Cause I did order it, and ALL the cool kids do this!!

How to get a Dxdiag.

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

I just tried logging in on Taris and the game was unplayable, fps on all other characters was equally as bad.
We don't need to spam them. They have already adressed this issue and spamming them won't bring the fix any faster. If we have luck we have a fix for it in form of a patch after the maintenance tomorrow. If not, well, then it takes a couple days more.

They are no idiots, they know,if they won't have this fixed after the first free month many people won't subscribe for another month. There is no point in subscribing for a game that is not really playable. This is pretty much forcing them to fix it (if they wanna have a successfull MMO) since MMO's are there for one thing........money.

I also have the low FPS problem and i also wanna have it fixed ASAP but we can not do anything more but wait and post our Dxdiags here in this thread.

Also have this problem : amd phenom2 3.4 ghz, 8 gig ram, ati raedon 6850, win 7 64bit. Ill have 100 fps wich randomly goes below 20 when i walk. Pvp scenarios are unplayable. People I know with worse rigs
Have no problems. I have noticed that my harddisk accesses like crazy every time i lag or get low fps.

Driver Version:Unknown.
Crossfire system: no.
Drop of FPS: from near 60 to around 3.

Just started playing the game. I've been having similar issues.
FPS will be around 20-30 outside areas. When I pull up UI screens like the character card or inventory, it drops about 10 fps, inside, it drops to about 10-15 fps. And in a cyclic pattern, it will drop to about 1 fps every other minute or so.
I have all my settings set to low, and from what I can tell, my system exceeds the minimum specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo, P7450@2.13GHz
NVidia GeForce 9800m GS 512 MB graphics card
Windows Vista 64 bit, 4 gb ram

All of my drivers are updated to current versions.
