if you are 55, then you can do oricon...it drops nothing but purple gear. pretty good purple gear. no excuse not to use it.
the gear dropped there is not bound so you will find it for sale on the gtn

Of course I've seen the cost there's a reason I only have a few 180 gear parts and the rest is all 168. I said it was doable not that it was practical

Recommended gear levels are an average for the whole group. When a lot of the group is in 180 gear or better, you can have some undergeared people along. Heck, we almost 7-manned Bestia in DP in a GF 8m SM pug once, and it was standing in stupid that wiped us, not lack of DPS, Heals or tanks.
So, how does the bolster than work in the GF on L50? Is it like the PvP one when it has preference of some gear over the other? What level does it bolster the best? Or it doesn't matter and it bolsters to something standard (140? 148?)?

Only 55 SM ops are bolstered through group finder.. 50 ops aren't.
