[IMPORTANT] Character Loading Issues

This just happened to me after patch 2.10.1. on Bounty Hunter level 38. This is just sad and frustrating, really. I've subbed for this game for 3 months now, and I've started to question if I should continue or not. It's quite clear why the game went free to play. The game has been out almost three years and apparently these bugs were around since launch.

I've had more issues creep up on my in Old Republic over the last few months than I've had in WoW, GW1 and 2, Warhammer Online and LotRO, combined. And I'm not exaggerating in the least. There's the broken launcher that takes forever, and often gets stuck for hours. The load screen error where you need to go out and delete certain files, just so you can play again. This new bug I encountered. Plus, if your connection cuts out for a moment, you'll get thrown into an endless loading screen.

Honestly, this game is really fun to play, and its storyline is comparable to a singleplayer RPG, but its countered by the worst programming and a complete inability to fix these glaring errors.

I've been able to log into my character (although it took longer than usuall) however i constantly have a red cross on my connection bar and pretty much cant move or do anything, it's really frustrating. I've tried repairing the game and whatnot, nothing seems to work, i'm pretty sure this has to do with the latest patch as last night i had no issues whatsoever, please fix this ASAP. Ty

I completely agree, I love this game but the connection problems are testing my patience on a day to day basis, I've never been more frustrated with anything in my entire life, instead of coming out with homesteads and GSF they should focus all their energy on fixing their servers or whatever it is that is causing these problems, quality > quantity everytime. I jsut want to be able to play, not play new content.

I've fixed it, but I suspect that I know what the cause of at least one problem is. I logged out in a friend's stronghold, but didn't have a key. When I tried to log that toon back on, it failed to load the UI, then reverted to a loop of loadscreens - I had to shut down SWTOR via Task Manager or it'd continue for half an hour or more.

I eventually solved the problem (via an alt) by getting the person who owns the stronghold to log on and be in it, then logging on again. That solved the issue - hope this helps you GET YOUR STUFF INTO GEAR!

Logging into the game and it takes me directly to the server list and there are no servers listed

My character screen doesn't even load. I can't even log into the harbinger server. It immediately pops up with error 1003.

Character Dozuun BH merc got kicked in the fleet. Server list comes up but can't log in.

So i am having promblem logging on, it is 2pm here in ontario on oct 5th. i can log in the the website, but it wont let me play at all i think i am on the jedi cov. server but the more i think about it, the more unsure i am. please help.

To help us look into this, there's some steps we'd like you to take and some information that we'd like you to provide below.

If you have a character that is affected by this please attempt to log into the character that’s having the issue and wait at least 10 minutes for the character to log in – even if the cog stops spinning.

If you are able to login:

• How long did it take?
• Where were you when you logged in? (Planet/Area)

If you were not able to login;

• How long did you wait?
• Which server are you characters located on?
• Are all your characters affected?

Hi im getting the error code 1003 everytime I try to pick a server to play, pls help I tried all those fixes and none of them work

Hi there, I've been having many issues with my characters class quest.
The issue that i have been confronted with is that the conversation wheel doesn't come
up at all so i cant interact with the class quest provider. it has been like this for a week now
and would really like to continue playing the game but i cant progress because i am unable to
chat with the quest provider. I don't know who to contact with help because there is nothing in the forms
about this. I'm also having issues where a few of my mounts/ chestplates/ wepons are invisible and
i cant see them at all but i can use them and people wearing certain chest plates i cant see them either
i can just see straight through them. Would really like some help with these issues ui love this game but will have to stop playing if they cant be resolved.
