Thats exactly what I wanted to said. Its just so easy to make that mistake, and there is no harm in changing the way the gtn works. More than 35 millions on less that 20 days prove the system is extremely easy to exploit . And it was a casual scamming, imagine if I have done it the hardcore way, with any material, at all times… Do not say there is no problem, because there is one, and a really nasty one.

Look, if they decide to make items be listed for whole credit amounts per unit, then I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with them not doing anything.

So, if they make the change, are you actually insinuating that people will stop making dumb mistakes? Ain't no way!
This.

The sheer inconsequential nature of this "request" to fix a problem that doesn't exist is a testament to what is wrong with players today.

The mindset has become "if it's a problem for me, it's not my fault". If you mistake a comma for a decimal, if you don't sort prices, if you rapidly click buy without paying attention the it IS your fault and nothing EA/BW can do will fix that.

NON-CENTS! NON-CENTS! NON-CENTS!!!

Currently, the sorting system makes it easy to deceive people.

Please be so kind as to remind us why this is a bad idea.

Formatting the column in such a way that is looks consistent should not even be considered a QoL improvement but the obvious choice when designing that interface.

Imagine this: someone hands his boss a spreadsheet with last year's earnings and it looks like that:
Jan 4,223,510.55
Feb 5,411,354
Mar 3,354,339.01

Completely unrealistic.

But I have proved that its so easy to get scammed that you can't deny the effective way of the method, and the need to change how the pricing works.

Im sorry if you believed developers are needed elsewhere, im also not happy with the current way and frequency content is been released, but this is a real problem, that have been presente on the game for too much time, and just requieres a really ease way of resolving it. Just change the point thousands to a empty space: 1.250---1 250 or even 1250, without anything… or even make special requirement when buying items of more than half a million of credits... all of this will actually work.

Does your country not work to two decimal places for currency like the GTN does?

This is a much more common issue than some might think apparently...

I couldn't resist and tried it out today. I placed around 8 2stacks of Durasteel for over 300k each and made it so that the price per unit looked cheap for someone not paying attention to the decimals. Only 4 hours later I was 1.2mil richer...

I say fix it!

No idea what your link is meant to imply.

I learned those basics aged 5 as did everyone else of my generation in the UK, if foreigners have other educational standards that is not really the point of this discussion.

So thank you for your sweeping assumption.

You haven't proved anything. You have stated an opinion that you have no valid proof to back up.

If you get "scammed" it is because you aren't using the sort system already available in game and you aren't reading the prices. Again, the tools are already there and if you can't use them properly why is it the companies fault?

By your reasoning, we should just get rid of the per item column of the GTN and go simply with the overall price which can not have decimal places.

Of course, then people will complain that there is another problem with the GTN that isn't really a problem for people who pay attention to what they are doing.

see thats the thing..lots of cultures use different separators for radix points...however..

As has been said many many many times (bolded in large font etc) no matter the radix point. there is ALWAYS only 2 decimal places.

I will not advocate any change that make like easier for stupid people...we are dumb enough the way it is.

will probably get banned for this new and novel thought, apparenlty my 12hour vacation yesterday wasn't enough.

Here is ALL the information you need to make a conscious informed decision.

#items to buy, total price, unit price

Guess what its ALREADY THERE. Nothing I do can change that fact.

If you cannot see that <small number of items> listed at some <huge number> total price followed by an equally <large odd looking number> for a unit price, there is nothing in this game or life that will protect you from you.
