At this point, still you. If you meant the hangar bay, you could have said "hangar bay." "the area that newbs fresh off their origin worlds land" could mean the place where they get off the elevator, which is what I took it to mean. Clearly that is not what you meant.

Again, if you meant the hangar bay, why would you not use the words "hangar" ... "bay?" What is clear is that you are one of those people whose thought process goes like this: "My thinking is perfectly clear to me. Therefore, no one else could possibly misunderstand what I mean."

Trollin trollin keep the branka trollin

Sorry bro. It was perfectly clear to many posters on this thread. I get you can't admit you're wrong or were looking for any perceived opening to attack me. Inability to admit you're wrong is a character flaw ingrained into many in today's society that slows societal progress. I hope you get over that handicap soon. Good luck.

Forum vendetta's and silly semantic arguments aside...

I've had this happen to me maybe a half dozen times since GSH launched. It is annoying, but I've seen no pattern to the behavior as yet. Different characters, factions and times in each case.

I've just kind of gone with the idea that my toons decided to get a drink at the fleet while I was AFK, and I happened to catch them half way there.

I think I can get on board with the idea of making a drinking game out of it.

So just a side note - So far I log off all of my characters, main and alts, in a stronghold and have yet to log them back on and find them anywhere else other than the stronghold. The only difference is sometimes they are at the entrance of the stronghold and other times in the room of the stronghold that I logged them out. Seems to be time based.

So while I don't blame you on the frustration of the non QT area part, what I get out of this thread is the curiosity of the cause. I wonder what the variable is that is causing this to happen to you. Like are you going to stronghold from fleet? Or a FP? etc Thus far I've always gone from PVE planet missions to when I'm done for the night, head to stronghold and log out. No problems yet. Tho I probably just jinxed myself now.....

p.s. Also right now I only have Nar and Kaas, Imperial side. Haven't started Republic side yet. Just fyi as I saw your one post where you are wondering if it's Tat.

Based on responses, it seems to be happening to more than just me.

It seems to happen 100% of the time if you take a Group Finder flashpoint and travel to it from within a stronghold. When you exit that flashpoint and tell it to go to your previous location, you will find yourself on fleet instead of in your stronghold. You should be able to make this happen to yourself, too. Just follow that pattern.

Aside from the flashpoint symptom, the other characters this happens to I use in a very specific way. I use them only to run crafting missions and produce goods via crafting.

So each of these characters has used the Stronghold QT feature to get from fleet to the Stronghold (the first time they were ever there). Once there, over the course of the days and weeks strongholds have been live, I've undergone a process that looks something like this:

1) Log the character in
2) Accept crafting mission rewards
3) (Sometimes) Interact with Legacy Storage and/or GTN and/or Personal Bank and/or mailbox inside my stronghold
4) Take new crafting missions
5) (Often, but not always) Use Stronghold QT to move to a different SH to reset crafting mission list
6) Repeat 4-5 until I get the missions I want
7) Log out; repeat with next character

I'm not totally convinced it's one stronghold. I have logged out in every stronghold, and I have all 4 of them. Most often it's Nar Shaddaa or Tatooine, but if I get frustrated with the mission list randomization I'll pop to DK or Coruscant, too. I don't track which one which character logged out in so I don't know if there's a pattern to it.

I use a bunch of my characters the exact same way, but I have never noticed this issue (note: I'm not saying this issue doesn't exist for you). I log into 8 characters daily to run crafting missions, and most of them I don't use for anything else at the moment. They haven't left their strongholds in weeks. They just warp between Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine to reset their missions.

I have noticed that if I log out in my stronghold and I click "Return to Imperial Fleet" then it places me in the newbie hangar bay instead of where I had been last. So that part is similar, but I don't think I've ever logged out on my stronghold and logged back in on the fleet. If I have, then I didn't notice it.

I've queued for FP, traveled to it, completed it and returned correctly to my SH in the exact same place I left. Did all three randoms last night with guildies for conquest points and each time returned to my SH. Was kinda wishing the last one would bug out so I would be at fleet to turn in the 50 HM daily.

I pretty much only use the DK / Coruscant strongholds as my base of operations. I have Tat and NS, but haven't been to them in weeks.

For me it, it just seems to be random.

Hmm. Maybe I'll make sure to log them out in the faction-specific SH for a while and see if it still happens.

I agree completely with this, very annoying. It really should drop you where the fleet pass does, right in the middle of the fleet where QT works also.
