Should BioWare put subs on the Cartel Market?

Just a simple question.

Do you think the BioWare should put subscriptions on the cartel market for cartel coins, and if so what would be a fair price?

I'd love to be able to buy a sub from the CM. But how would they do that? Especially in other countries?

I just hope they have chicken parm subs when/if they implement it (and it's available in my area)

I doubt it will hit the cartel market.
The fact that subscribers get cartel coins with their subscription complicates things.

If they priced it at about $15 worth of cartel coins.
It would essentially mean you could pay for 3 months of a subscription. And buy a free month.
After that (since that month would probably come with cartel coins) you would only need to pay for 2 months of subscription and buy a free month.

They could price it higher but the community will most likely cry foul if they do

no, bad, bad idea.

if item is not bound to account upon purchase, people will just sell on the GTN thus people will get free subscriptions without having paid any money. Given the rate at which people accumulate free CCs you could easily get a free month or two subscription with zero investment.

if item is bound to account, people will spend the same amount of money on the subscription rather than subscription AND CM items...if going to spend the money, just spend the money on a subscription.

in either case make zero financial sense to one party or the other.

In most games I've seen where one can buy 'consumables' for game time or other items like expansion codes, the items are sold through the web store for RL currency just like the store currency, then delivered in game.

If they could make something like that work, they could possible sell game time consumables and unlocks for the next expansion which could be traded and sold in-game.

I do agree though that it is highly doubtful they'd ever put game time consumables into the in-game store purchasable for CC.

That would be interesting. If they offered "game time" as an item you bought through the website. But you couldn't use cartel coins.
But I have this nasty feeling that if they did offer such an item people would cry foul.
Those other games (I am assuming) don't already have something similar to the cartel market (EVE comes to mind as a game that does this)

500 CCs. Buy one get one free. Provided the free one didn't drop cartel coins.

It'll never happen. But it's nice to think about.
