Drop the cents in the GTN pricing PLZ !!

There is a new pricing practice that could be potentially devastating to players and I'm sure it has happened to at least one person already. I will give an example with Mk-9 Augment kits, say the going rate is around 51,000 because its possible to list items and have their price include cents, the price could come out something like 51,098.66, people have started putting items on for say 44,098,666, when you sort it back and forth and your in a hurry and tired maybe, you might just click the 44 million one thinking your getting the cheapest one. (please don't think this has to do with just millions i have seen this pricing method for items for cheaper than 1 mil) If only one person falls for this its totally worth it for the culprit. So here is my advice if the .09 or cents was dropped or rounded up in price people would not be used to seeing the extra zero's and there will be no confusion, (or less confusion), The BEST advice I have is keep all your big money on one character and NEVER buy anything with that character EVER, take a second and send the amount of money you need to another character to buy something, Also sort it a couple of times and get in the habit of looking closely at each and every price before you buy it, its not like a bid, you can't go "oh dam" and hope to cancel it before someone snags it, once you click buy its a done deal , good luck !!

I agree, others do not...search for the 50+ pages thread called "scammed on the GTN" (if I remember its name correctly) if you're interested in reading through an endless discussion about it...

it seems to me an easy fix, the crux of the problem is mistaking a comma for a period, drop the period no problem

Yes, it seems you missed this thread:
Scammed on the GTN

I don't think we need to repeat that here.

If only you could hit a button and bring the lowest priced stuff to the top that would fix this easy....

You know what could top that?
People being able to use their eyes and brain before buying something and not hurrying to buy things as if they're being chased by a rancor.
That would be awesome.

There's no sense on the GTN as it is!

That said, and stepping back from the "scam or no scam" debate that will inevitably make this thread spiral out of control like the last three, I would like to say the suggestion is not a bad idea. Dropping the decimal values from the listing won't prevent people from making mistakes (or scamming/not scamming), but it will lessen the occurrences, and we really don't lose anything. Rounding up to the next full credit value won't hurt anything, and it may help, so why not.
