See posts like this are why for the most part I only do Flashpoint's with Guildies or Friends, and usually we just 2 man it for achievements.

Because to your point
Quote:
that we forget the key ingredient to anything - FUN.
What you don't realize is for people like me, players who focus mostly on end game, or play at a slightly more "expectation" level, FUN is mowing everything down efficiently, getting what you wanted out of the Instance, whether it be a H4, Operation, or FP, and getting out.

After that first time story explanation we just want the end result, the rare mount, the rep item, the weapon shell, etc

Lots of us are doing it for achievements or specific shell drops, and time is money, the fun part for us is being able to mow through it fast and efficient, with the target result in mind.

So for us, watching someone sit through the entire story, or kill/pull aimless stuff, walking around getting themselves killed, its not fun. Most of the players I know have full time jobs, or are in school full time, so they want to maximize their time in game. Not everyone's fun is the same

The wonderful thing about this is you can choose to stay or go...I don't fuss and *****, I'll ask kindly 1x for spacebar, and or 1x to stick with group and not wander. If they don't listen 2 scenario follow, I drop group, and re-queue when ready, or I vote kick them.

If you want to do it that way, make your own group of like minded people and queue, if you find yourself in a group who doesnt see eye to eye, don't argue, don't waste time standing there typing walls of text, dont be a detriment to your groups fun, just peacefully bow out, and try again.

It's amazing how often the bad players say "just relax or have fun its only a game" as their defense.

Games ARE supposed to be fun, but FUN is different for every person, what makes the game fun is very very different.

Let me give you a scenario. You love basketball. It's a game, its fun, its exercise. You don't have people to make a regular team, not even for 3v3 half court action, so you go to the only local courts on a regular basis to play.

1 day the ONLY other people available for your team are both physically and mentally challenged. You want to win, and you love to play, you play to win, but all they do is scream "YAAAAAY" and throw the ball at your head, or randomly just stop in place and pick their nose. I'm betting for you that's not fun, and would wear thin real fast

Next day, you go again, and its all 9 year old children available for your team. They understand the basic concept and skill design, however, they would rather take the ball and punt it up into the woods or out into the street, because for them, its fun and funny to watch you chase after it, never mind that you are just looking for a good game of basketball.

Exactly. But does the zerger's fun take precedence over the daisy picker's? Or vice versa? What if you find yourself in a tactical with a person who has never done it and wants to see it all and not just rush through it like a monkey on crack? Do you say "Too bad, so sad?"

If someone's time truly is that valuable (and "I am an impatient 12 year old" != "my time is valuable"), they probably should not be playing a computer game.

Have fun with long queue times.
Well to be honest I saw a group do this to one person once (again I dont kick players, I abstain in the votes unless player abusive to others or intentionally trying to wipe group....yes sadly you do see a few of those now and then in GF) but the guy showed up in level 30 green modded gear and level 40 mob drop gear.

And even then the group tried to get him through but he kept dieing from stupid stuff
wasn't wiping group as 3 of us could easily handle the FP but he was not following directions (we offered to carry him through Tactical if he just hung back and followed as so under geared).

And lets be honest here.
NOT every GF tactical group is geared to carry a under geared player through a tactical FP
Some people do still enter tacticals with 18k - 23k health and are not geared well at all.
Many in this thread assume everyone running is geared and thus the normal structure rules dont apply
But many many many players enter tacticals not under geared but lowly geared and do struggle in the storymode versions.

Its not just group of hardmode players zooming through the content always.

And in a lowly geared group, I could see them dropping a under geared player
Its not up to them to gear you
Thats on you and you do them a complete disservice by trying to get them to power level (mentality speaking) through the flashpoints.

Go run Black Hole, Section X, Belsavis, Voss, Makeb, even CZ and get some 148- 156 gear
Its REALLY EASY and fast to do
And then you will never be kicked from a Tactical for being under geared.

No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

Found myself in this recently actually while leveling my Assassin Tank

We got Mando Raiders and 2 of the group (both DPS) had never run the flashpoint before
So I was explaining the boss fights and showing them the paths to take (I always teach hardmode tactics from day one as its never to early to teach good habits)

So we get to first boss
I mark both dogs, say "flame then target, I hold agro on big boss"
Fight went great

Get to second boss fight (the 4 champions)
"I mark the first two and say "Flame then target, last two we defeat at same time"
Healer changes my markings
I say "excuse me, Im marking, please leave alone and come stand here in corner so I can pull and stack"
Healer changes markings and refuses to stand in corner saying she knows fight and what to do
I dont wanna argue so say fine
Course she marked it all wrong and Myself and DPS die
After fight she says "oh yeah, forgot about that knockback, guess you were right"

Get to last boss and I type
"Ok DPS this guy till he jumps to corners. When he jumps to corner
Healer says "taking to long and pulls"

The 2 DPS got so Pissed at her the entire fight was them yelling at her
me I just added her name to ignore list on my 6 imp characters and WISHED we had account ignore because I would be so ok never grouping with her again EVER.

The speed runners I find dont give two *bleeps* about teaching, informing, helping
They run ahead
teach bad habits that get players killed when they try later with out over geared players
and generally screw things up bad over all

Its one thing if the group is all over 33k health and geared, by all means speed run away
but if you have newbies or not over geared pllayers
the group owes it to other to slow it down some and follow some basic common sense routines.

All depends who is in the group and how much they know

What part of "156/162" you didn't understand? Ok, implants were purple level 54 (lol, these are actually better than 162s).
As far as I know 156 is minimum for HM CZ. And that was in SM...

Prototype Microfilament Implants and Earpiece are enough for CZ HM. Also AR 148, which is blue 66's.

EDIT:

Hell, Campaign is enough for those HM FP's.

148 for level 55 HMs.
156 for HM Meltdown/Labs after they made them harder.

Ran with Prototype 148 AR Gear just the other day with my secondary Juggernaut. Not a single complain about my gear and we did fine.

I don't do 55 HMs and you illustrate one reason why: too much drama, whining and finger pointing.

Anyone who has played any MMO for any length of time has encountered the guy who insists his way is the only way to do a given encounter, and will scoff at any disagreement. To him it probably is the only way because it was the way he learned or was taught and it's the only way he's ever done it.

if I have a group member not doing the optimal pulls/CC's in my groups I will kick them. I dont spend my money/time to play with bads.
