Well, the video did say that the new content is based entirely on player feedback and I find it hard to dispute that. Players have been asking for free-flight Space combat since launch. Players have been asking for Housing since launch. Players have been asking for Guild Ships since launch. Players have been asking for story-driven content since launch.

True, players haven't gotten everything that they've asked for. New Class stories stand out as an example. But, everything we've gotten can be said to have been 'in demand' from the players since launch.

The old EA message is out the door. Whether they behave differently than the EA of last year, or the Ubisoft of this year, or the Activision of last year is yet to be seen.

Large corporations tend to act like large corporations, and I've seen precious few that would rather make their customers happy than give their executives yearly bonuses. There might be loads of developers who want to make gamers happy, but contrary to popular belief, developers don't have much influence over corporate agendas, and they tend to get slapped about just as much as the customers do.

My only consolation is that in their race to collect as much money as they possibly can, the large gaming producers occasionally make a game that I genuinely enjoy playing.
