So you are defending the uninterested? If that is the case then, the uninterested wouldn't care about 50 mil, capital ships or the white knights coming to their defense.

There is no spoon here Neo.

I wish I had my 2 billion credits from SWG... HAHA. I made my fortune when they removed no trade and I was top chronicler on my server and Game wide. I had a Sharing system worked out.

When I think of a "casual" player, I picture the guy who joins the Saturday afternoon PuG group and says it's his 1st time in S&V, or the guy (or 2 in the same guild) who joins a WZ in PvE armor, the guy asking for help in (of all places) General Chat on Fleet or the guy in your GF group who has never done CZ FPs. There are a lot of those players. I'd say they're "casual".
But by your definition, we are not talking about people who will be playing conquest content anyway, right?

Besides I, and several others who post here would fall into the categories you've listed. There are several ops I've never done, for example.

I guess my point would be, if you are going to define casuals that way, it's really hard to use the term to justify your concern about the cost. Similarly, I will have to adjust my point about money making thusly: "No one who posts in the forums is broke unless they want to be broke, as making money is easy in the game, and learning how is easy on the forums."

Easy to get? Yeah, if you hit the level cap. Tedious to get? Hell yeah - you have to do a bunch of daily missions on a bunch of planets that can kinda suck if you're in a hurry and without a lot of time to play. I used to log in and do the dailies... somewhere, I forget where. Black Hole, I think? The area that has the mission where you sneak around a warehouse. Do those missions fairly quickly, get a nice chunk of credits. Haven't set foot on Makeb so no idea what's involved there. I doubt it's anything overly complex, and it's only made easier with help from guildmates / friends / strangers.

So, again - easy? Yeah. Takes a while? Yeah.
The average person thinks he isn't.

He's generalizing, obviously. Not giving the definitive description of "casual."

I'm not defending anyone, and how do you know they wouldn't care about the new guild content?
I've been consistent from the start, I believe the 50 million credit entry price is far too high for guild content. I see that price doing more harm than good to this game. There is NOTHING good that I see coming from a price this steep.

Why wouldn't they want to play it?

I'm not defining anything, you asked for a definition, I gave you a general idea of the type of player "I" consider "casual".

Is that because you don't want to pay it or because you've done the research and found something wildly different than a lot of posters who suggest that it's a mere 12 hours of commitment for each player in an 8 player guild or 5 hours for a 20 player guild? Or perhaps you found something different than the posters from small, "casual" guilds that say they're doing it, no worries?

If it's the latter case - you've found that small guilds are actually prevented from achieving the ship inside a reasonable timeframe, could you please share your research and findings?

If it's the former case, could you describe why 5 hours of dedication for a 20 player guild is too much effort to acquire a guild ship?

It's because I think it's too high.
