If you love PvP and hate dailies, why do you think you're going to enjoy Conquest? From all accounts, Conquest looks a lot like PvE dailies... but perhaps with rewards that drop much more slowly.

When you debate by simply belittle others peoples input to the debate, make assumptions that they must be playing excessive amount of time, simply because they do not agree with your point of view, then yes, you are making rude assumptions. And "rolling your eyes" at other peoples inputs doesn't really help the matter either.

Your opinion is your opinion. You're entirely in your right to have one, but when you don't respect other peoples opinions, why should others respect yours then?

It's effen insulting is what it is.
Should all content then be made for precisely your playstyle then? Simply because you prefer a certain playstyle every bit of content should be catered to your playstyle? Disregarding that there are also quite allot of other ways that people play this game?

GSH and the guildships is a new feature to the game, not an paid expansion. You're neither entitled to get this content nor mandated to actually play it, if you don't like it. Nightmare mode raiding isn't for everyone either, nor are you entitled to getting this content, if you do not put in the effort to do it.

But I'm not going to stop playing the content I like (and don't even think about this getting priority over real life) just to get credits. If I could do real work with my guildies to complete missions toward the end of getting a ship, I'd probably do that. It would be fun and would really be a group activity.

BW, you got this wrong. My hope for the future of this game (which many of you know was sky-high until very recently) is taking a nose-dive.
So at the heart of it, this is a matter of you not thinking this new content is real or worthwhile content? Fair enough, but that's your opinion. Most in my guild are really looking forward to this new content, myself included, and we didn't mind putting a little effort into getting it

Ok... can threads be merged or something... I don't know how many more of these threads I can read (although they all look the same anymore, same people... same arguments).

FWIW: I agree OP, the price is high for the value delivered.

You're not getting my point. I don't have a problem with the actual "content." What I do have a problem with is how they are introducing it. They took the easy way out and made up a number of credits for people to buy it, rather than to run content to earn it. Yes, we can argue this point ad nauseum, but I'd rather not. I believe they should have introduced guild missions to have people earn this as a group, since it opens up group content.

Since they took the easy way out, they might as well make it (more) accessible. Why did they pick 50mm? I'm sure they have reasons. All I'm stating is that this number shuts out the little guys. It hinders their access to new content that we have to assume BW actually wants people to play. Why not set the number at 20 or 25mm? That's still significant and leaves room for small guilds to build and expand their ships over time. It would help feel like we're making progress on something. That's not how it feels now. It feels lazy and contrived. Something that is happening all too often in this game now.

Mr Alien

Have you actually read anything about this new content other than the headline grabbing 50 MILLION COST to get started on the Flagship? You are aware that different decorations will drop from all the operations and flashpoints? That expanding and adapting the flagships and homes will require more than just credits? The following line "They took the easy way out and made up a number of credits for people to buy it, rather than to run content to earn it" clearly shows you have a bit of catching up to do on what is actually happening. Can I suggest you pop over to Dulfys very helpful website and have a look around. It may change your opinion.

Oh, I'm sorry. Tell me again how a guild goes about acquiring a ship. Please.

Mr. Alien,
They pay 50 million credits. That's how. No other way to acquire it. You were correct.

If 8-10 dedicated players can acquire the funds in 3 weeks... I'd hardly call that shunning the little guys.

Of course you acquire a ship with a 50 million purchase. That is why the post you quoted mentions other than the headline grabbing 50 million cost. Once again you have failed to read something and jumped to a conclusion based on what you thought was written down. Please read what you quoted, the expanding and adapting part and for god sake go and get informed on Dulfy's website. It's not rocket science.
