You get the "massive time grind" award, which is...you know...an award for spending your time getting the ship, rather than doing anything else with your life.

It's an award, tough!

You can brag about it! Yell it on general chat at the fleet!!

Ppl like me with Real Life issues can't play for some stupid House that's useless along with a Ship.

With my Loved ones gone now with exception of my Mother and Father, as of right now all 3 of us are on Retirement/Disability. And Boys and Girls, in Real Life I never ever have time for this game right now. Because most of us are to sick and disabled to even get to the damm Computer son. When i had a Real life not so long ago
I did Computers, Electrical, Construction, Automobile repair, done some Plumbing of course and have been around the Military all My Life. Since I was a baby.

When i had a better life I did 12 or more hours of work and didn't usually stop, going over 12hrs a day until the job was done, or we stopped because our Pain pills no longer worked. Also i had about 7 families to think about and loved and cherished. And with Family, Loved ones and my Jobs, the only thing i did when I got home was go straight to bed, or take a shower and take care of my ladies needs most nights.

What's this Bs of Ppl that are poor, because they choose to be???

BOY, i've been around so many jobs i'd do circles around you.
What are you even talking about? I don't think you did more than skim his post, and you sure didn't comprehend it.

I don't get this constant complaining about how "bigger guilds can get the money to buy the guild ships easier than smaller guilds" and now this conquest whining.

I mean... duh... that's part of the perks of being a member of a big guild.

You want to be in a small guild? Excellent.
It's your choice to make and there are some major advantages to it (like actually caring about the rest of the members, being able to get to know them etc.)

However, you can't expect Bioware to support your 4-10man guild just because you like it that way. Of course they're going to support bigger guilds. More players = more people playing = more money for them. How's that not clear for some people?

I mean there's complaining and then there's pointless complaining...

Of course they can. Especially if it turns out that a lot of people are in such small guilds.

I don't have the numbers but who says that the majority of players are in big guilds? I bet you don't have stats on that either.

There is of course nothing wrong with creating content to support bigger guilds, but I don't think that you could argue that only very few people are in smaller guilds, so they'd have to look at that as well really.

Lots of people leaving because there's nothing for them to do because they are in a smaller guild is less people playing = less money for them. I hope that is clear to you.

Sorry, but there's absolutely no logic in that.
Nothing to do? You mean nothing as in "I want to be able to do all content with my 4-5man guild? yeah, that's not going to happen.
Should they make all future Operations for 4man groups because some people don't like being in guilds with enough people to do 8 or 16 man and they shouldn't feel left out? Like they made ranked PVP for 4man groups and that turned out so great?

Again, there are advantages and disadvantages to having a small guild. You compare what you like about it with what you don't and make up your mind - if you want to see all content you need to be in a guild with enough members to do so.

This whole thing is like choosing to live in a small village of 50 people and then complaining that Rolling Stones didn't include your village in their latest tour.

No, I meant people feeling like BW doesn't care about their demographic, not literally like there's nothing to do at all in the game.

Smaller guilds often work together so they can get 8 man groups together by themselves or with one or two other guilds. That way you can do things like ops and pvp just the same. There are plenty of 16 man pugs as well generally so hey, you get around.

But this content will be for just a handful of big guilds and probably not even all of them will be able to compete so chances are not all big guilds will end up participating in this for the longer term anyway because of what's involved in effort like crafting and there not being much room for many guilds at some point when the lines are drawn.

So really this content seems to only be able to please very small group of players in the end. At least that's my impression, and if that ends up being true a lot of people will wonder why all those resources are spent on something that in the end will only be for very few guilds. As soon as about 10-15 larger guilds will have specialised in this it will be game over for the rest. That's my expectation.

I don't know if that's worth the resources spent on it. Then it would've been wiser to build something that more guilds would be participating in and feel like it's worth it. But if you have 3 planets to conquer, well, that leaves a lot of guilds that will never conquer any, especially in the longer term.

Just doesn't seem like resources well spent. And don't get me wrong. Personally I am not really interested in this stuff but I can see why smaller guilds, and ultimately in my view most guilds, might not be participating in this content and not being happy about that.

Between the buy-in price, the PVP Ops group requirements for Commander runs, and the crazy high crafting requirements, I'm starting to think that this guild ship thing really isn't practical for a lot of people. It doesn't make sense to even pursue. What are you going to do, kill yourself buying and expanding the rooms only to be left with a huge empty ship? Waste of time and effort. I would say the best course of action is to pretend they don't exist.... they don't do anything important anyway. Just outfit your stronghold and enjoy it... the suckers with the spaceships aren't getting anything out of the grind except bragging rights.

You only have so much game time anyway, spend it raiding or doing something else constructive.
