Some of the events should be a "one and done" but with tokens that are generic, so each brand new event shares the same tokens, allowing you to build up your tokens for unique gear.

Bioware will get the most turnout and response to unique events that are never coming back, because people will try their hardest to avoid missing such events.

I doubt that the uptick they'd see in participation if they were one-and-done would be anywhere near cost-effective for the added amount of work that would involve, or worth dealing with the QQ from people who missed one of the events.

The whole reason the Rak'ghoul Resurgence Event exists is that a lot of players kept asking for what was a genuine one-and-done Event (Rak'ghoul Outbreak) to be brought back again/made into a reoccurring Event.
Given the choice whether to rule a corrupt and failing empire or to challenge the fates for another throw, a better throw, against one's destiny, what was a king to do?
But does one ever truly have a choice? One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate, and thus defy the tyrannous stars.
