All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

I suspect that if you knew more about it you wouldn't ask that question. I thought this attitude died with the idiots who hated on Vietnam vets. The short answer is that to become a soldier in the modern militaries of the world requires a heck of a lot more of you in the form of discipline, tactical and technical knowledge, teamwork, leadership, and judgement than is required to play Call of Duty. Maybe if you're lucky you'll learn that lesson from someone who has lived it.

Don't hate the soldier who signs on to defend his home, culture, family, and friends. That man has your back and will give everything he is for you even if he's never met you. Hate the politicians that abuse the trust that soldier gives them, and sends them places they have no business to sacrifice for causes that aren't worthy of the honor.

And actually, given the choice, how many of these people would have chosen to help others and save lives without having to take other's ones?

Tell me.
