Galactic Living EP2 Livestream Notes

For me this becomes more and more underwhelming the more I see. I expect, and certainly hope, that I am in a tiny minority and wish Bioware all the success in the world.

However, I have to be fair and say, personally, that I find the variety of key types very innovative. If you are going to do keys for access, this is the way to do them IMO. Good job on that one point.

Also, a good job on terminal availability...and a rather impressive job on some of the decorations I have seen....talent shines here.

If you are going to do hooks, doing them the way they are done here should stand as an example to the entire industry IMO. Good job on designing as much flexibility as I expect is possible with hooks, short of allowing a few movable hooks.

A poor job on most of the rest of the features, only based on visual observations, which really isn't a fair conclusion at this juncture IMO. I have to actually get a hands on to make my final judgement.

Naturally my opinion means next to nothing, like it should be.

This one is an even dumber decision than going with a hook system. What is the point of a public listing if people can't visit your stronghold at their convenience rather than yours?

As long as I get to share an appartment with my wife who plays not quite that much, but if she does she likes vanity. Go figure. :P

I watched the stream and recall seeing Czerka signs, a heat vent, and a Jawa vendor as well.

Stopping by to make one point. I am loving the info on this and while not being able to enter a random stronghold unless the person is online sucks I can see a monetary potential to it. Say a player finds a cool stronghold they like and maybe has a guild that could do a roleplay there. Said player whispers the owner of the stronghold asking for keys for himself and his guildies so that they can roleplay there. He offers to pay 5k a key.

In turn what we have is the potential of creating a way to rent out your space to other players. A cool way to make money IMO.

In the first stream, Jack mentioned it would hit the PTS in the next following weeks. Last Thursday, he said they wanted to get it right before deploying it.

In other words, no ETA as of yet.

Here's hoping Forged Alliances PT. 2 makes its way there too on day one.
