I play several single players games at the same time as SWTOR to keep from getting burned out. They are usually a very different genre such as turn based strategy or RTS.

It may end up only hurting it in the short term. The person leaving may play another game and then miss SWTOR and come back to it when they have a clearer head and refreshed.

Besides I see no point in staying with a game if it makes me miserable for several months, do you?

Unless there isn't.

But, playing multiple games at the same time doesn't really hurt either game. If people only focused on one game a time, we'd have a lot less to play!
