server transfer cost a little to much.

I think the sever xfer cost is fine, what I would like to see is a Legacy transfer option however, at a fixed price.

Since a single character xfer is 1800 CC, they could offer the option to "Transfer an entire Legacy from one server to another for... 5500 CCs.

That is slightly above the cost of transferring 3 characters. So it only becomes economical if your transferring 4 or more, less than that and individual transfers remain cheaper.

Probably cheaper to go unlimited. Maybe Bioware should sell a one time unlimited transfers a for 18000 CC.

It is cheaper than all other games who have that stuff;-)

It makes it harder on us to transfer between servers. I got a free char transfer by going to some1's referral link. But if its 1800CC per transfer, then I'm not paying for it, a waste in my opinion.

Since when has WoW's main focus been on creating Alts and "Legacies"?

SWTOR is all about having multiple toons. They have encouraged it since launch in a way WoW never has.

Yeah, I would gladly pay if it was for my whole legacy. But per toon? I just couldn't afford it. So I'm stuck on a server that constantly says "LIGHT" or "STANDARD". The other thing I don't get is that this is an automated feature right? The cost to them is almost 0. I would love to see what the actual margin is on a server transfer.

Nah, if anything it could be a little higher. I was pleasantly surprised back when they announced the cost, as WoW's transfer fees are much higher.

Whats the purpose of having to transfer all toons? One gets you all the legacy perks and its easy enough to make to level a few more from 1-55.

Muster up the credits (typically populations with fewer people in them have higher prices, more resources, etc and bringing that with you to a higher population is pretty advantageuos) , stuff all the useful gear you want into legacy gear, and vamnos. Take the ones that have particularly useful crafting skills and leave the rest.

If you have a sub plus security key, you have enough CC to have a free™ transfer every 3 months.

I doubt it costs them very little to, but in part you can blame the consumer for paying these prices. If they were hardly selling at all, they would eventually lower the cost.
