server transfer cost a little to much.

i feel the amount per transfer is a little much seeing how its only one toon. $20 imo should cover 2-3 toons, not just one. other games have small fees for this but i guess EAWare needs more money?

one of 3 reason i havent left pot5. i dont have the time to level all the toons i enjoy playing again nor have the time to grind out all of the pvp sets on them again. if i were to transfer all the toons i enjoy playing at 55 id be spending over $100. ive already given BW so much in terms of cash. dont feel like i need to fork over my liver for transfers.

*other reasons, i have many friends not willing to pay as well and 3 names i would refuse to play this game without arent available on the servers im looking at.

Have you used the free server transfer you can acquire by clicking on someone's referral link? Not sure if thats still a thing, but it worked perfectly for me back in Jan this year.

Also, if you must have some certain names, you can try certain accent codes mimic the name pretty much exactly. I commonly use alt 0225 for á, for example.

Another thing, if you already have the pvp sets, stick them into legacy gear and put them in cargo bay so any of your characters can use them. If its brutalizer gear, its really no loss because the shell can't be used for an eventual pvp gear update.

I'm not familiar with the cost of server transfer costs for other games, but I recall many people saying that the cost was about on par for most other MMOs. And actually since 20$ worth of cartel coins is 2400 CC, with server transfer being 1800 CC, you would have enough to get 4 server transfers with 60$ worth of coins rather than 80$ because every time you buy 2400 CC for a 1800 CC server transfer, you are left with 600 CC every time. 3 X 600 CC=1800 CC.

If you really don't want to spend that much money, ( I sure as hell wouldn't) your only alternative is to just suck it up, and level through some characters to 55 and give them some of that legacy gear.

It's cheaper than it is in WoW. So that's a plus.

Not only is it cheaper than WoW, but I get 625 CC a month so I can transfer without doing anything other than subbing after 3 months.

I used to be unhappy about this, too, but then I reached legacy level 50 on my main server and it turned out that starting a completely new alt on a new server with no bonuses and no credits whatsoever was actually fun! It was like starting the game all over again, but with lots of Cartel Market gear. Then again, a 20-minute quick travel cooldown and no instant fleet travel are killing me.

Well..... Here, and here would say otherwise. And, as others mentioned, we get CC every month. You could also follow one of them links these guys are showing off.

(Though, on a side note, I agree. It's not just this game, but the other ones that charge around this price area, I just think it's a little much for a service like that.)
